The easiest way would be to freeze the ice cream in the same cake pans lined with plastic wrap you used to bake the cakes. Once the ice cream is solid assemble as you would any cake

My daughter makes custom cakes, I don't know if she makes ice cream cakes, I suppose she does. She is a fantastic artist too so her creations are amazing. But she is far, far away. Your cake looks delicious, as usual I will be tempted to make this. Luckily there are a few things to buy that will help me withstand this temptation. LOL ;-)

Maybe if you had a particularly tall one, but I’ve tried making a very similar ice cream cake in a springform pan before, and it didn’t allow for the ice cream layer to be thick enough. That’s why her method intrigues me and I want to try it her way. :)

I have instructions on how to do this too! Over on the blog. I have an extremely modest freezer though and no trouble fitting it 🥰

8 but I cut it down to 6, that’s all you need, at 8 it’s too high and awkward to add the second layer.

How come you do not pour the hot coffee into just the coco mixture to bloom the chocolate before adding to flour egg mixture?
I’ve just personally found it works better to do it this way :)
