Nice video. I need to do this but thought it would be a huge deal, now I know it's pretty simple. Just ordered the part. Will be here in two day I bet I have the window fixed soon.

Glad this video was helpful! Truthfully, I thought it would be much harder than it was so it was a nice surprise.

If it was easy, Robert, somebody else would have already fixed it! Great job. I think it might be called a "Jalousie window." Would like to see more handy man videos! (I like to watch others work!) Thank you!

A good thing about videoing a repair is if you forget exactly how to put it back together you can watch the video. 🤠 Great job.

Very true! I have been known to take a photo of something before disassembling it, but never thought about the benefits of actually having it on video. That's even better.

It looked somewhat intimidating at first, but it went pretty easily once I started! So far the rest of the windows are holding up... LOL

Robert: Your video shows exactly the window I have but without the eClip. Any suggestion for replacing the window operator without being able to remove that part of the window. or does the window just sperate with a bit of force?

This is the only RV window I have had to work on, but it does seem like there are a lot of similar but slightly different models out there. Our window was a bit different from anything else that I had seen on RUclips so it was something of a trial and error process to disassemble everything.

You got lucky and had two "e" clips. I always have one that flies across the room at which point it immediately becomes an "Oh Jesus" clip.

Where can I get the long aluminum tube that goes to the window

I'm not sure where to find something like that unfortunately. I was able to find a few videos on RUclips about the crank knob, but even then the linked knobs were out of stock so I still had to hunt around. There are some RV junk yards so I would wonder if any of them sell parts online. The only other idea I would have might be searching on eBay for someone who is parting out an old RV.

idk to me the mechanism look fine, my handle's ridges are gone (which is plastic and wears off not like aluminum) and that's the problem since it's not turning the mechanism, so for now I'll have one off the other window and will just pop it on to turn whichever window I want to open
