I played this a million times after my husband passed away. It was our thing to go places that only we knew about, rides, looking for adventure. Oh how I miss him...every day. He's been gone almost 12 years. Hard for me to believe sometimes.
My dad passed from brain cancer in January, this was one of our songs. It’s almost like I can feel him hugging me through this song, saying I’ll be ok. Thank you.

Cloedith Swift I think she's going to go down in history! Not that I want her going anywhere!!! Kacey is my absolute favorite female in today's music...and I am old!!!
Having seen her a couple of times live, I consider she's the best country/crossover singer and songwriter around today. And she's witty and a great entertainer too, with a brilliant band - what's not to love?
Man, is this beautiful. With the dearth of expression and melody that so often represented the past decade's modern pop, it's heartening to see younger stars somehow finding and drawing from the well of a beautiful music tradition. Bravo!
I don’t usually comment on things and I know no one will see this or care but I just completely started bawling my eyes out listening to this. I so vividly remember downloading this song on my little iPod back in 7th grade. I loved the song so much. I haven’t heard it in yearssss until I stumbled upon this video today. There have been some serious changes in the world and who I am since I last heard the song. Loss of many family members and friends, 2 suicide attempts, sexual assault, and my unplanned pregnancy had to be terminated yesterday, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Long story short, lots of heartbreak. Listening to this again made me think of my younger 13 year old self and who I was back then. Don’t know where that simple thing went. Just made me sad and nostalgic. Kacey’s voice always hits deeply different.
They can;t find a category for her, she doesn't quite fit any particular genre. Isn't that often the case for artists pushing boundaries and in touch with the pulse of true creativity? Amazing sensetivity and powerful, grounded delivery as usual for this beautiful woman.
This song has always been my favorite. It gives me a little nostalgic feeling, a little content feeling, a little sadness, and a little happiness at the same time. I love all the version of this song.
Unreal on so many levels ... the masterful instrumentation ... her performing exquisitely out of her "genre" ... and watch her concentrating on hitting those highs ... perfection
@@christophers5510 Thanks, hers was not too shaby at all! I listened to a live version and then then her christmas studio version, and yea they were good. I do much prefer Kacey's instrumental accompianment. i hope i spelled that word right lol
I first heard this song in 2004. A friend of a friend would play it over and over. It wasn't until a few years later when it blew up. Every time I hear it, it takes me back to that place in time I first heard it. I love how music does that.
drewdizzlle I burned holes in this album when it came out. MTV2 loved to play Keane. None of my friends got it. I still have the Hopes and Fears CD in my car 15 years later.
I was held spellbound by this song and the performance by these wonderful artist's, this song resonates a relationship I had when I was a teenager in the 1970s , the places that Debbie and i spent time together are all in the lyric's of this song and it brings back quite fond memories. She was my first love and although we broke up ( I had to move away with my family) I always missed her and wished we never parted ways 44 years ago.

This song is so important to me. When I turned nine, my dad took me on a birthday trip to Phoenix and got me a Sony psp. He preloaded it with two albums. How to dismantle an atomic bomb by U2, and Hopes and dreams by Keane. So somewhere only we know has always brought me a flood of emotions. Jeffrey Chevalier they did this song justice.
That was 15 years ago 😰.
Then Lily Allen covered it in 2013 for the John Lewis advert and it went to number 1 in the UK.
The most beautiful structured unstructured song. Could anyone be brave enough to think of this and produce it today in this world of mediocriry
