For my experience, even though education levels in Taiwan have some rigorous subjects, such as Chinese, Math, Physics, History, Taiwan education is lack of logical or critical thinking. That is almost the most difference I experienced between in Taiwan and in the U.S. education. Therefore, the career in Taiwan doesn’t quite emphasize on the independent thinking. Some of my courses in undergraduate are related to science and technology even ask students to memorize the answer, rather than to create a new solution by your own studies.

This is interesting. Your observations point towards a difference in educational approaches between Taiwan and the U.S., with Taiwan seemingly focusing more on rote memorization while the U.S. encourages critical thinking. This could reflect on the work culture in Taiwan, possibly leading to less emphasis on independent problem-solving. It raises an intriguing question on whether evolving educational methods in Taiwan towards fostering analytical skills could impact its professional landscape positively in the future. Your experiences provide a valuable perspective in understanding these educational dynamics. Thank you for insights.
