You also blamed IK for inflation and poverty but refused to mention that 1st year was spent trying to recover from little to nothing foreign reserves left by Sharifs, and then 3 years were spent in COVID, which hurt the world economy as a whole.
His foreign policy is for people of Pakistan not the elites.

What defines an "anti-Western" policy? Not being a spineless country with the need to please the States, etc. by obsequious amounts? Imran Khan, if anything, was the best chance the West had in trying to pursue stability in that part of the world. But as most already know, stability was never the actual aim.

This is a biased view at best, calling khan anti-western, when he’s trying to adopt the same balanced foreign policy as India does with USA and Russia. No one calls India or Modi anti-western when they openly trade with Russia and intend to increase the trade. India didn’t condemn Russia in Ukraine and yet they are the top strategic ally of USA. These are hyper obvious dual standards adopted by USA. The Pakistan national security council admitted that USA did blatant intervention in Pakistan’s internal affairs when their under Secretary threatened serious consequences if Khan wasn’t ousted. Rebecca Grant of official US think tank policy maker confirmed that Khan was ousted with their nudge because of his pro China and pro Russia foreign policy. Lastly, the most corrupt, convicted families have been thrusted upon Pakistani government so USA can have their way while the corrupt try to get rid of investigative records against them selves. The western democracies won’t even let these people come close to public office of the lowest level let alone leading the country.
The entire episode is a repeat of how US did regime changes in Iran in 1950s and Chile as well. Same formula to destabilize other countries just to maintain their geopolitical grasp.

"sharifs know how to govern", that is such a lie, sharif's 2013-18 tenure was the 1st tenure in pak in which exports decreased, also they artificially controlled the rupee value which is one of the main reason we are still in this mess

Interesting how she has completely skipped the impact of COVID & increase in inflation globally when talking about unemployment and inflation in Pakistan during Khan's regime. The economy was in fact improving since a couple of month before Imran Khan's ouster.
ALSO, stating that he gave no proof for his claims of a foreign intervention are farcical - the communique (which formed the basis of this claim ) was validated by the National Security council of Pakistan. After which the foreign Minister at that time, Shah Mehmood Qureshi was asked to issue a demarche to the United states.
As for the proof of foreign conspiracy - the opposition parties (elected & NON ELECTED party members) and the defected party member of PTI, all had meetings ,secretly and publicly, with the US diplomats since August 2021 - a few months before the Vote of confidence against Khan. These are taped and documented facts, not claims.After that, it was very odd, when an extremely divided opposition, all of a sudden joined hands and within a matter of months presented a vote of no confidence; which it had been unsuccessful in achieving multiple times in the past 3 yrs. When or if an investigation is ordered to probe this, there will be even more undeniable evidence of this.
P.S Political history students are well aware of US' "interventions" in Iran, Chile, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan etc
So such claims are definitely not absurd or should not be seen as an attempt to re-build political support in a public that is often labelled as "Anti-west".

As a Pakistani I stand with Imran Khan. He has performed better than any previous govt. You can see in IMF's recent 2022 report that under Imran Khan Pakistan's GDP growth was 5.6% and record low Account deficit in last 11 years. This year Pakistan's GDP was set to be 6%.
Unfortunately, maybe Imran's bad luck, First he had to deal with Covid and then Russia started the war, still Imran Khan's performance was better than any leader in history of Pakistan.
No the gdp was 310 billion in 2018 and in 2019 it was 280 billion cuz of greylisting

Pakistan gdp growth rate for 2022 was not 5.6 percent. Its 4 percent. It was 5.9 percent when pmln govt ended in 2018. It dropped down to 2 percent after ik took over and was in the negative during covid and around 4 percent in 2021.

We had an honest and competent prime minister (even though he made a lot of blunders e.g. appointment an incompetent person as a CM of Punjab) but army decided to throw him out and brought the old corrupt leadership back! Exports went from 25B$ to 32$ , in 2017 out exports were 25.16B$ , it increased to 28B$ when Ik came , in 2020 it decreased to 25.26B$ which was more than 2017's pmln gov.
IT which never touched billion , crossed 2B$ in 2021, and check 2022 april , it crossed 5B$ already which is more than last whole year .
Textile which never crossed 10B$ crossed 15B$.
Our GDP per capita income rised to 1798$
First ever time our economic growth rate was 6% and size of our economy became 383B$
And Imran Khan left 22B$ reserves which are highest ever left by any Pm , pmln left 9B$ in 2018.
Also pmln left current account deficit of 20B$
And pti recovered it and left 1B$ cad .

@@dawoodahmed5793 pti left zero billion reserves. Our reserves are actually negative and our growth rate never touched 6 percent. It was 5.9 percent in 2018 when pmln govt left and dropped down to 1.9 percent after first year of pti govt. Next year the growth rate was negative. Next year it was 4 percent and this year they are saying it will be between 4 to 6 percent. As for the exports going up it has nothing to do with pti govt. It was because of Covid. Covid was good for Pakistan. We got the export orders because in other countries like india, china etc... There was a strict lockdown and their factories were closed. Everything in Pakistan was open. Also pmln govt started free training programs for people to become freelancers and offer their services online and bring their earnings in usd into Pakistan. Pti literally did nothing except complaining. They also reduced our budget for education. Devalued our rupee and increased inflation upto 700 percent. They also increased our debts from 95 billion usd to 130 billion usd.
Good for Al Jazeera to find these EXPERTS to interview those who probably live their entire lives living abroad.
For the common and poor people Imran khan was the last hope but we unfortunately lost him as he was alone stood like storm in front of American and the corrupt politicians, and some military forces.

The only part where PTI and IK failed in its 3 year rule was elimination of corruption which unfortunately for him lied in the hands of Judiciary and state institutions. He did not have the mandate and probably the knowledge of how to deal with the status quo of Judiciary and State Institutions both of which were populated by the two political dynasties.

Al Jazeera professionally excluded US interference from the story and replaced it with the Army. This is a biased view just because they did not include the Army's response regarding the Russia trip. Army said that they were on board.

The corruption charges against Nawaz Sharif were politically motivated. The judge who sentenced him has admitted in a video that he was forced by the military to pass that judgement against Nawaz Sharif. As for Shahbaz Sharif, he was cleared of money laundering by the NCA in London. There are serious corruption charges that have surfaced against Imran Khan after he was ousted from the power.

Aljazeera used to be one of my favorite international news outlets. Unfortunately their one sided bias against Imran khan and his PTI has made me lose respect for this “news” platform. Maybe it has something to do with the Qatari letter in the sharifs money laundering trial…? For those who don’t know and Aljazeera didn’t mention in this piece is Shabaz Sharif is on bail and a current sitting PM along with his son and more than half of his Cabinet who are all on bail. Great reporting aljazeera, you have lost a once avid viewer
And they aslo didn't mentioned that letter cable which was sent by Pak's embassidor of US that proves the consipricay or interference (as said by Pak's double faced DG ISPR).

Here are some facts and somethings which were wrong in this report. Pakistan's economy did not nose dive under Khan. He had to deal with an artificially controlled dollar which was set by a finance minister of the PML(N) party and the bubble burst as soon as he came in power. Even IMF yesterday praised Khan's efforts on the economic policy and bloomberg said Pakistan had one of the best economic stats in covid. Our GDP was +5 in his last days of office. Khan was not anti-Indian or anti-west. He just said he doesn't want his people to be slaves of the west and he would love to maintain friendly ties with the west on equal levels. He said he won't talk to India till they take back the constitutional changes they applied in Kashmir. Khan's foreign policy was not his own. It was what the military wanted as well and that has been claimed by the military too. No proof of the foreign conspiracy? The guy literally has a telegram from David Lou threatening him to oust him from power. Everything happened exactly they way they wanted it to happen. Even the NSC has said there was involvement but they committed the word "conspiracy". Aljazira has a great reputation and you guys need to do more research before presenting a report.

To artificially keep the dollar stable they took loans on explosive interest rates. When the money stopped comming in the bubble burst. This jumped the current account deficit because now we owed the loan givers more. The dollar reserves started to deplete exponentially! To counter that PTI had to take loans just to keep the country from going bankrupt like Sri Lanka. They succeeded to keep it afloat, hence the loans you're talking about. We actually take loans to pay back loans. Now about the GDP. Why do you keep forgetting COVID??? We went to almost 0 to 1% GDP growth in 2020 during severe lockdowns which is a miracle and the very next year we ended at 5+ GDP with covid. Doesn't that mean the country was at the right track? Corruption is another story. It has a backing based on 1 report and it may or may not be true. I don't have to listen to a PTI politician man. I just have to use logic to know how things work and how they were totally in our favor.

Aljazera missed few things, hence this video has many lapses. Economic indicators were getting better. Economy was getting better organic unlike previous regime which was pumped by loans from IMF so economy was not a problem.
Secondly there is enough evidence of American conspiracy in ousting Khan. National Security Council has accepted this fact that there were definite traces of foreign hand to overthrow Khan's govt.
West in general and US in particular was not happy about Khan's free foreign policy, so this is not the first time America has done that, this has already been done before with ZA Bhutto founder of Pakistan People's Party.

This story definitely needs to fact check as PM IK wasn’t against west but wanted to have open foreign policy for the country, he was not against India in fact he protested what Indian gov did in Kashmir (revoking 370 rights), it has been recognised twice by NSC that there was interference by US in Pakistan for regime change and Pakistan foreign office protest to US for interference and undiplomatic language.
Although Imran Khan & PTI failed to fulfill their promise & trust to fight corruption & good economy, but at least he has a great service for him, which is to fight Islamophobia around the world. But, it is sad when there is a form of coup through impeachment vote is almost similar to in Iran-1953, Turkiye-1997 & Egypt-2013, so much so that Malaysia-2020 also faces the problem of the Sheraron Step on Islamism & Secularism.

Khan's policy was not anti-west. He visited western countries like US and invited other western leaders to his country. But, the more crucial point is - whatever foreign policy was premiered was also agreed upon by the military, this is how Pakistan works. Khan couldn't have implemented an independent foreign policy.

Imran Khan's foreign policy is not anti-America, it is pro-Pakistan. It is a neutral foreign policy in which Pakistan aspires to be a ground where East meets West.
Economy had to take a dip due COVID and as serious reforms were taking place, unemployment increased as most of the State Institutions, for instance PIA, were over staffed due to cryonism; they were removed.
The lifestyle of people was improving; there was no loadshedding of electricity, education reforms were carried out, a new citizen centric economy oriented National Security Policy was rolled out. Industry had begun progressing which halted in previous eras due to energy crisis. People who previously owned bicycle now owned motorbikes and bike owners shifted to cars.
Afghan crisis was handled well, peace & stability was returning as evident by lowest number of terror attacks and bombings in Imran's term.
Overall Pakistan was progressing.
In the end, every factor considered, the leading contributor to Imran's removal was the fight against corruption, which most institutions of Pakistan are involved in.
