I'm sorry but her "fan base" is just insane 🤨 she literally stabbed a man and people are glorifying her actions and dismissing what she did just because she's cute, cosplays and likes anime. That isn't a free pass of forgiveness for stabbing someone.
real people can be yandere too. the definition is just someone who's way of love is to the point of obsession. and it is a spectrum, since they can be more or less extreme. one's in some anime, and yuka are obviously very extreme. but there are plenty of yandere in both anime and irl that wouldn't hurt anyone, they just have a tendency to think very obsessive thoughts
I never heard of this story before. I googled her name and there was actual FANART of her sitting on the ground covered in blood. Oh naw. . . Y'all need help!
Yuka's fanbase reminds me a lot of Ted Bundy's fanbase. Even years and years later women still love him despite brutally killing so many women just because he was "charming and hot".
@@Hjaelteomslag That's technically exactly what I'm referring to. He psychologically manipulated the women that he murdered into loving him and all the documentaries on him present that to the world. So now even after he's dead his psychological manipulation lives on.
I remember someone made a dating profile that said something a long the lines of "Currently on trial for rape" or "Just got out of jail after I raped someone", they made it very clear that this fictional person had sexually assaulted someone. But they used a male model's photos for the images, some of the women who got in contact were clearly turned on by the fact that they thought this hot dude was a horrific criminal and could see it as a selling point. People are fucking crazy.
@Pale Salad Not only that theres also a bunch of wattpad stories about Ted Bundy on wattpad that ships him with other criminals. I don't remember the details but the whole thing is just so scary but the fact that I also read on wattpad makes me even more scared
I’ve noticed that there are a lot of injustices and inequalities that go both ways for males and females. When it comes to the court systems, it really feels like there are a lot of times where women get off easy compared to men. I get that this woman had simps in her corner which makes her already 30x’s more powerful than the average woman and only 10x’s as powerful as a Jedi mind trick, but these things do happen.
The fact that she just sits on the ground and calls a friend while smoking a cigarette then just smiles after being put inside the police car is really creepy. If that doesn't scream "I'm insanely crazy" then I don't know what is

I wonder if that was the reduced sentence Phoenix pleaded for. She broke the law yes but he was the victim and clearly didn't want to see her punished. Yeah. I hate how people just brush of the actions of others no matter how disgusting and cruel they are as long as the person is attractive. Says a lot about our society.
It's weird but quite common, as sad as that is to hear. The most famous serial killers such as Ted Bundy, The Night Stalker and others, all had droves of women throwing themselves at them, sending letters and lewd pictures of themselves to these guys in prison. They don't even have to be that attractive, Richard Ramirez, The Night Stalker, reportedly smelled awful and had completely rotten teeth.
Honestly, even as an anime fan, the idea of a real life yandere existing is truly terrifying. I will never understand people who fetishize murderers because they're "cute" or "attractive". It's disturbing.
Being a yandere doesn’t necessarily mean your a killer a yandere is someone who is insanely in love with a person and is willing to do anything for that person
@@Ryan-il8ip That also means they can be extremely toxic and unhealthy, and can lead to extreme jealousy cases like this one. So in my book, never a good thing. Also being insanely in love like you describe is just not right imo.

@@supboi5845 Trying to kill a cheater doesnt make a yandere, it's an entire character archetype. A lot more than just one action goes into it. Yes looks are a part of it, but its also the personality, the mental illness, the fact that she cosplays yandere characters, and how crazy she looked and behaved afterwards, sitting with him while he was dying and spelling his name in blood etc. This isnt just an average scenario of killing some one for cheating, she is the real life embodiment of an archetype that you dont see often because it's a bunch of uncommon qualities of a person coming together to make this rare occurrence. Feel free to shower me with examples of cases where all of these things came together to make an example of a real life yandere if you think it's so common. It isnt.
I mean I identify as a yandere but i wouldn't kill my lover or their partner I'll just get back at them in other ways.. I am a classy Yandere is what I like to call myself. I'll definitely btch the woman out who was cheating /home wrecking with my man though if I ever meet her.

Thats normal for Japan. Look up Junko Furata aka "The Concrete Woman", four 17 year old highschoolers kidnapped her while on her way home from school and put her through hell in the most literal sense of the phrase, all the crimes were comitted inside a family home with everyone involved and aware of what was going on, the whole story is out for anyone to read and right now the same 4 men are walking the streets of Japan freely, same goes to their parents/siblings who closed one eye to the things they were doing to that girl in that house

I'm not a big fan, but I watch em once in a while. That said, I've always found yanderes stupid as hell. Though, same for all those things like tsundere.
The fanbase is creepy to me. Thats actually nice to hear, the guy sure as hell didn`t deserve this. There were red flags he could have seen but still... why he is still so positive towards her? I don`t really get that if I am honest. But it is his decision afterall. With her... someone so deranged? Hard to say if she should just walk out after such a short time. I saw this on Japanese news when it happened. It gave me chills. Attempted murder is not admirable or acceptable. Maybe Phoenix blames himself which is why he pleaded with her. People here tend to shoulder the complete blame for anything that happens to them even when things are out of their control. I remember vaguely hearing that people thought this girl who had nearly killed someone was “cute”. Image is very important in Japan and people sometimes overlook other negative personality flaws due to good looks. Image matters more sometimes than substance. This still creeps me out.

“Sukiyaki” - This song has a remarkable story - it's a Japanese hit that became wildly popular in America despite Japanese lyrics that hardly anyone in the US could understand. Kyu Sakamoto was a star in Japan as both an actor and a singer, and this song, known in his country as "Ue O Muite Aruko," was a #1 hit there in 1961. Sometime in 1962, a British music executive named Louis Benjamin heard the song when he was traveling in Japan, and he had his group Kenny Ball & his Jazzmen record an instrumental version that made it to #10 on the UK charts. Benjamin renamed the song "Sukiyaki" after a Japanese food he enjoyed - a one-pot dish made with sliced beef, tofu, noodles and vegetables. The song made it to America when a disk jockey in Washington state heard the British version, and started playing the original by Sakamoto. He used the title "Sukiyaki," which was much more palatable to Americans than "Ue O Muite Aruko," and requests started pouring in for the song. Capitol Records obtained the American rights to the song and released it stateside, where it went to #1 on the Hot 100 for three weeks and also held the top spot on the Adult Contemporary chart for five weeks. So how did this American disc jockey get a copy of the original song? Marsha Cunningham gave us the answer. She explained to us: "In 1961-2 I was a high school student at The American School In Japan, living in Zushi, Japan. My dad was a pilot for Japan Airlines. While enjoying a Japanese movie staring Kyu Sakamoto, I heard the most unbelievably beautiful song. I purchased the record at a local shop and brought it back to the states the next year when I attended a girl's boarding school in Sierra Madre, California. I played it in the dormitory frequently; everyone liked it. One girl took my record home with her on the weekend so her dad could play it on his radio station, and the rest is history!" The Japanese lyrics are about sadness and isolation; the original title means "I look up when I walk." In 1963, the country singer Clyde Beavers arranged to have an official of the Japanese embassy (J.S. Shima) translate the lyrics into English. Although Beavers' "Sukiyaki" did not chart, A Taste of Honey made it to #3 in the US with their English-lyric version in 1981. A Taste Of Honey was a disco group that had a hit in 1978 with "Boogie Oogie Oogie." Their bass player/vocalist Janice Marie Johnson came up with the English lyrics for their version. She didn't translate the song literally, but kept the mood of the song with lyrics about a love that was taken away. Kyu Sakamoto was one of 520 people who died in a Japan Airlines crash in 1985. He was 43.
In one of his stories, a japanese man got a 3 years prison sentence for robbery. She also got 3 years but for trying to kill someone? And she even got a fanbase and a gofundme? This is so messed up

Guys, let me say this as a recovering jealous person: don’t let this awful feeling control your lives. It’s not worth it. Try to be honest with your partners, communication is key. If something bothers you, tell them right away, even if that means having uncomfortable conversations. If you got yourself a good partner, that won’t be a problem. Jealousy can seriously ruin good relationships, talking from experience here. And don’t lose yourself in the relationship, be your own person first. At the end of the day, you can’t prevent people from doing what they want. If they want to cheat, they’ll cheat no matter how hard you try. That’s a reflection of their character, not yours. If they’re so dumb to the point of not appreciating you, you don’t want them in your life. If anything, thank them for showing their true colors. I know it hurts to have your time and feelings wasted but better be exposed to the truth late than never.
It’s also worth remembering that jealousy is a normal human emotion. The problem isn’t feeling jealous, it’s what you do with it. Like you said, communication is key.
Yesss. I 100% agree. I'm the type of person who generally goes quiet if something is bothering me because I didn't want to be that nagging girl, but this time around even if it makes me uncomfortable I'm trying to communicate and so far I think it has been working. Also helps when you communicate to "try" to use logic and ask the other how they would feel if the roles were reversed

My biggest issue is the “fan base” while I do think 3 years isn’t enough, the main thing is rehabilitation, regardless of how long that takes. The issue is with a light prison sentence relative to the crime, and if she has a huge fan base donating money to her, she might use that as justification for her actions and it might increase the likelihood she does something like this again. She might even be better off now because so many people donate money to her than she was before she tried to kill someone, which is a scary thought.

@John Lambert Disregarding warning signs into a relationship neither of us have knowledge about, try to brush it off as "just a cousin or someone lol" Naw, that doesn't happen. Like honestly. Not saying she shouldn't face jail time, but stabbing a piece of shit that has no respect for you when you're in a relationship is deserved. Would I do it? No, it's not worth making a situation worse and incarcerating yourself over that. But it's deserved.
@@redtarget5275 I'm honestly really surprised you seem to think this is all justified. I completely agree that cheaters are horrible people, but truly it was never stated that he actually did. Warning signs can make you predict something, but she could have still been wrong... She did not have definitive proof that he was cheating, just a strong hunch built up through her anger and jealousy. Another part you aren't considering is that she CHOSE a ladies man. She knew he was surrounded with female attention as his chosen job/career and she decided she wanted that. Another part too is that she probably chose to sleep with him before ever married or at least very far along into the relationship. That often leads to harsher heartbreaks and stronger jealousy in a shallow, short term relationship. Even if he did cheat, it was very dumb for her to make those choices and expect him to be all hers forever. So, again, cheaters are garbage, completely agree, but at least have 100% solid proof that isn't based on emotions before you do anything insane... Orrrr maybe try breaking up? Never understood why yanderes are loved so much despite their messed up personality. Knowing that there’s actually yandere-like people out there like that kinda scares me.
I think it's because there's so many out the deprived of love that they seek the most extreme form without realising that if it happened it'd be too late.
As someone that _reeeeally_ likes yanderes, let's just say that those that want love will seek love, even if said love is crazy. "She's crazy for me... That's how much she loves me, that's so beautiful." It's messed up but I can't help it. The most I can do about it personally is to constantly be aware that reality sucks, so irl yanderes will definitely suck.
Simps are a desease. We both agrees on that . I've got the same vibes when some girls become enablers by submiting themselves to bad men. Same pathetic behaviours.
It’s lovely that Phoenix forgave her and admirable that the judge is more interested in her rehabilitation than punishment (quite the opposite in US). However…the point of incarceration isn’t only punishment; it’s to protect the public…and this public has elevated her into an icon rather than condemn her actions. Hope the judge is right, but I also hope that she will be held to strict probationary conditions upon release.
It’s not lovely at all she doesn’t deserve to be forgiven she tried to take a human life. She should be put in jail as much as I support rehabilitation some people should just stay behind bars.
Is he interested in her rehabilitation, though? He said he wanted her to be able to live a good life. She was smoking a damn cigarette and yakking on the phone when the police came. She didn't call the police. They put her in the car, she's smiling like she's in her hostess club chatting to a client. Not sure if she's out now but hopefully she is "rehabilitated", though I highly doubt it. She was obsessed and couldn't overcome her jealousy. He could have died. I wonder how much different the sentence would have been then? Five whole years? Good grief.

And that’s without mentioning just how clingy she was overprotective she was getting in the time leading up to it. 😅 So yeah, I respect the man for how chill he is. I wonder if their roles were reversed would it be possible for Phoenix to receive such a light sentence. Or even if she wasn't as attractive would she still garner such a fanbase?
Tbh I ain't sure how that'll turn out but knowing society today, media will probably just treat her as a sole survivor while Phoenix will probably get a get a lifetime in prison. Idk but that's double standard.

One girl took my record home with her on the weekend so her dad could play it on his radio station, and the rest is history!"
The Japanese lyrics are about sadness and isolation; the original title means "I look up when I walk."
In 1963, the country singer Clyde Beavers arranged to have an official of the Japanese embassy (J.S.
He was 43.
A beautiful and sad song.

Like you said, communication is key.
well said its not worth it

She’s probably gonna commit more crimes once she’s out, or profit off her notoriety.
I remember while in Japan I saw this on the news and was completely shocked. It even more confused me that people actually made a go fund me page to get her out of jail. I'm an anime fan myself and it was shocking.

Well it's just worlds is getting crazier.

I really like how you tell the story's
It’s lovely that Phoenix forgave her and admirable that the judge is more interested in her rehabilitation than punishment (quite the opposite in US). However…the point of incarceration isn’t only punishment; it’s to protect the public…and this public has elevated her into an icon rather than condemn her actions.
Hope the judge is right, but I also hope that she will be held to strict probationary conditions upon release.
Personally, my name is Phoenix lol and it sounds kinda like me but it is kinda scary that there are real life Yandere’s
Good grief.
Ducking weebs
@@nobsdodgers damn right Mr Jesus
One thing for sure, if it was her boyfriend trying to kill her, his sentence wouldn't be so mild.
She's immature so much that it's disgusting.
Call me jeolous, but seriously, she's not even noticable if she wasn't acting like yandere... i think ppl give her too much credit for her "quirks"
That's not true, in Japan serial killers and homicides are RARE. VERY RARE. Girls in Japan even cream thier panties over a male that created a community to suicide pact themselves. Only he didn't die with them after he killed them, he served 7 years has a top seller biography.
@@WillianyAmill He didn't stab them with knife, did he?
Like you said, they've committed suicides, so your comparison is a bit out of context.
@@democratictotalitariansoci1462 I shoulda mentioned, he cut them into pieces and he put thier bodies in piled up coolers and packing containers. You see, They committed suicide VIA telling him to kill them. It was something of a voluntary homicide victim.
If it was a man trying to kill a woman, it hardly would end up as "attempted" murder. Would just end up with the woman killed.
SPOILER:
I was so incredibly happy when I heard that he survived
Yeah bro, but i'm pretty sure he deserves it,
hosts can deceive and cause too much heartbreak they make women chase them for the money,
the more they pay the closer they think they can be with the host while he's playing the girl's heart like it's a toy, women are too emotional to be played like that.

Never saw someone covering criminal cases in such a polite, considerate and respectfull way. Keep up the good work :)

That would never fly in Sweden. Even if let’s say my boyfriend said he don’t hold grudge against me for trying to kill him, our justice system would disregard his opinion and sentence me based on my actions alone.
Same in the u.s. the city or the state will prosecute.

I gotta respect Phoenix. The man got stabbed in the liver and was hospitalized for like a month but still held no grudges against this girl. In spite of the fact that he was already exhausted for work and she attacked him without even asking about the picture first. Like…damn. How kind can a guy be? 👏
Idk he probably thought she was cute and moved on with life
@@SemekiIzuio I mean fair, but he just seems so chill about it. Like if it were me, I’d definitely be mad that my girlfriend stabbed me because she thought I was cheating on her and left me hospitalized. Especially considering that, instead of talking to him like a normal person, she attacked him while he was exhausted from work and didn’t even have a chance to say or do anything to explain himself. And that’s without mentioning just how clingy she was overprotective she was getting in the time leading up to it. 😅 So yeah, I respect the man for how chill he is. Even if I can’t personally understand.

Well he got paid a fat $ettlement to support her reduced sentence, so it's not like he didn't have something to gain from withholding (or at least pretending to withhold) grudges.

2:13 Yandere's aren't just women.
Yanderes are people who grow a very unhealthy obsession that they mistake for "love" for people. When that person rejects them, they grow a "If I can't have you, no one can" mentality and will turn violent towards others and the person they're obessed with.

I like the fact that he survived. You should do more where the person survives. You do an excellent job of telling people’s stories.
Guys, girls, if u have a relationship with a very possessive person, END IT..
One the most common reason for killing is out of jealousy..
I wonder if their roles were reversed would it be possible for Phoenix to receive such a light sentence. Or even if she wasn't as attractive would she still garner such a fanbase?
The only difference I could see is that if a man did it it would be very unlikely that the girlfriend would survive or be able to escape.
Deng beauty really made people lost their minds. 3 years for an attempted murder and fanbase for killer ? Well..what a society
Tbh I ain't sure how that'll turn out but knowing society today, media will probably just treat her as a sole survivor while Phoenix will probably get a get a lifetime in prison.
Idk but that's double standard.
@@BanishedSilentShadow3318 No, for attempted murder in Japan you're looking at about 5-6 years in prison. Women usually get a bit less because it comes off as more of a "crime of passion."
yep these people are crazy no wonder why JP has the highest suicide rate
Girl you're lucky he didn't die, you could have been labelled as murderer. Phoenix deserve a better girl.
"Phoenix deserve a better girl." Especially if he's THIS forgiving and sweet. Like, damn, he's too good for her...
The problem with phoenix sticking up for her is that it will in all likelihood reinforce her behavior and make her assume "see he really does care for me"
