  • Though the Stig has been a loyal companion on all of my dirty adventures, I desperately needed a properly fitted bike. I luckily found the perfect one in my size and desired color! In future videos, I will be showing you the upgrades and modifications I do to this bike.

    I know the struggle, I have a short upper body and long legs, so most bike charts put me on a 56cm with 172.5mm cranks but I ride a 52cm with 165mm cranks.

    Hi! I love your channel! Super new to bikes and I am looking for a bike that I can do a road ride with my husband and others but also be able to ride around with my kids at near by trails and the neighborhood. My husband was saying that if I got a gravel bike (looking at the Liv bikes) and had 2 sets of wheels, one for road rides and another set for when I want to take the kids to the trails, that would be the best option for me. This would also be the bike that I would work out on at home. OR would it be better to just have 2 bikes (road and mountain). Hoping to not break the piggy bank. So glad I found your channel. Its been hard to get info, even at local bike shops.

      Welcome to the channel, thanks for watching! The only reason I have two bikes (one for road & one for gravel) is because I got my road bike first. If I didn’t have a road bike, I would definitely do what your husband said and get two set of wheels for the gravel bike. The devote is a great bike and it rides perfectly fine on different terrains. It’s lightweight, super compliant, and it’ll be the best option for your buck for sure! Hope this helps! Let me know what you decide in the end :)

    My partner is looking at getting one. She is 5"6" and relatively short in the legs so similar to you. According to Liv that puts her bang in the middle for a medium. Local shop only has a small. My concern going small is there may be too much drop from seat to handlebars. She prefers nearer level. Why did you go for small. I suspect being a roadie as well you like a lower position. Can't quite tell in your videos how much drop there is

    • @lifesagem
      @lifesagem  3 года назад

      I kinda went by the measurements on my rode bike, I use a 52' and the small was the closest to it.

    Thank you for the report. A question: is the D-Fuse seat tube compatible with cylindrical cross section (i.e., regular) seaposts, and, if so, what’s the diameter?
    Thank you.
