  • In the mid-1990's there was a public access television show in Phoenix, Arizona that was arguably the most popular on the air. The Producer/Director, Bob Baxter, came to be known as The King of Public Access. The main focus of his show was motorcycle events including shows, races, charity rides, and club events, but it also featured many other topics like the Arizona Renaissance Festival, Halloween Shows, and well, some topics that can never be shown on RUclips. I was privileged to have been part of this show as a camera operator and graphics technician. Bob is now considering dusting off the old master tapes and creating his own RUclips channel so he can share his creations from 25 years ago. Therefore, he has kindly permitted me to post one episode to see if there is any interest in his show content. Please post your comments and feel free to share this video with your friends who ride, and even with those who don't.

Please say you have more Bob Baxter episodes! There has to be a box of tapes somewhere of full episodes. I grew up in Glendale, and would see him sometimes around 59th and Bell in traffic.

Yes, there are more Bob Baxter episodes. I have asked Bob to consider having them all put on digital media and then create his own RUclips channel. We haven't seen much traffic or many comments on this one so spread the word. Thanks, Slim

BobHawthorne if you need help or tips digitizing and getting around snags, let me know. I do this type of stuff every day.
Yeah. Try to convince him. It is like watching old syndicated Stern episodes from KUTP. They are snapshots in time, when cable access actually meant something, and the rules were minimal. I miss those times of creativity.

More of these old Bob Baxter shows would be great... These things were great late night viewing after partying at the bars. What a find

@@Tommy-B. Hi Tommy. I don't remember that episode so maybe he did it before I joined the crew. We did do a body piercing show that was pretty intense. I will ask Bob if he remembers it. - Slim
