Mandel Kramer! What a voice! He had such talent and range, as did Santos Ortega, and so many of the actors heard so often on radio. This story was also adapted for "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," and starred a young Steve McQueen!
Was brought up with similar to these shows - a few years later . Never lost interest as these cannot be beaten like so much of the formula stuff on tv = "radio with pictures" , or films in 2022 . 👍👍🤔👍👍🙂🙏
Surprised they're no comments as these stories every bloody one of them is/are fantastic and thank-you for the uploads they're very greatly appreciated!!!
I love this episode, and I listen to it occasionally. But I’ve always been puzzled by one thing: how can a civilization advanced enough to send their intellects to Earth not be able to do the relatively simple thing of developing space travel? The actor who plays the last Martian is Elliot Reid. He’s in a pretty good Perry Mason episode from 1959, The Case of the Startled Stallion. And I saw him in a clip from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes; he’s sitting at a table in a nightclub with Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell. That must have been hard to take. I wish I had become an actor. (wink)

You've got to watch those guys named Howard......
John Jones and Yangan Dal should get together and swap remembrances of their respective lost Marses sometime.
