"Just put the bags down, I'll unpack myself". That's a weird kind of hotel service that you don't hear about today.

A dystopia is one thing, but a dystopia which won't even explain the rules you'll be punished for breaking? How did such a regime even arise? There's a huge untold story to this universe.

He was an excellent actor. He had a natural ability to play ironic, embittered characters, a quality he put to good use in "One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest."

Sounds like the Soviet Union, China or North Korea. Sounds like the EU in a decade or two. The left-wing at its finest.

Need a card to prove you have credentials (or government approved shots) Wearing masks, stay in your family pod, or sneak off to sectors where a bar might be open and get turned in to the authorities sounds like California or Minnesota or New York now.

This is depressing. How are these writers so prescient? This is what half the US, Australia and Canada is like right now.

SMDH- The character in the show even expressly says that communism is abhorrent to the Freedomites. Communism=Leftism=Democrat Party. We've been living through the Biden era now and it is crystal clear who the authoritarians are, who the wannabe dictator thug is/was, and which party represents the interests of Americans, and it's not the party that just ousted their president/presidential candidate and substituted the vice president as if that wasn't an unprecedented abridgment of the democratic process. Of course, their Party voters are without scruples or ethical restraint themselves, so they don't care. They were sad Trump wasn't murdered.
