That's for sure. Brian like us actually cares and has a work ethic that a lot of people don't anymore. I always took pride in my work. I'm retired now and my body hurts from all the hard work...
The camping community will spread the word on how nice you have maintained the location so next year it will see more use. I suspect the company will ask you to return. A raise should be in order.
the campground is beautiful Brian, the best one we’ve stayed at. And it was nice to finally meet you in person last week after watching your videos for the past 10 years.
Awesome to see the level of thought, effort, and care you put into things. Doing your job and taking care of the community at the same time is noble work.
Wow. What an interesting video. My husband and I have thought about hosting and this really gives us some good insight. Thank you so much for caring so much about God’s beautiful creation, the campground, and the fabulous job you did.
Thats what I love about this life style.. When I get tired of Roaming I park host in campground for about 3 months to 6 months depending if I like the area are not and just be still for a while. Park hosting is a Awesome way to live.. For sure... I love it.. Now some places aren't so great and I have only done a month and left but one thing about that, you don't have to go back if you don't like a area..
Thanks for sharing this experience, Brian. I think I would be able to do this type of hosting. I'm retired now, don't need the income and this would definitely be right up my alley. Spent a good part of my life doing landscape maintenance. That campground is beautiful!! You left it so much nicer than you found it.
good lord the size of that puffball!! biggest I've ever seen was half-dollar sized. glad to hear that you had a relaxing summer - looking forward to the next adventure!
Hi Brian, I'm glad that you had a successful summer experience at a time when you wanted to just step back a bit. It certainly is a beautiful place to come into your own again. The trout were a bonus , for sure. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I hope you will be feeling as good as new very soon. Your friend, Louise
@joanneburford6364 He might be talking about a fungus that grows overnight...kinda like mushrooms, but not. The dry up..in the heat...add a lawn mower...poof..
I'm sure they appreciated having you care for their Property.... You did an excellent job.... I think it was good timing for you to be living there while you were healing from your Break up.... I'm glad you were able to afford to do that.... Maybe they'll pay more if you work it again sometime... Until then... We will keep following your Journey... Thanks for Sharing....& Get Well Soon...
I am glad that this was a positive experience, Brian. I am sure that you were an ideal camp ground host, and even if you are moving on, you left this camp groud better off for having been there. Here's to your next adventure!
Thank you Brian, Adventure Van Man, you are so thoughtful, your postings are a pleasure to watch.... and dream of the time I can have similar adventures.
I wish they would keep the campgrounds open longer in Colorado. Most are already closed, but the weather for camping is awesome. In Alaska they are open all year. If the snow isn’t blocking the way in, you are free to use them.
Sorry I missed you when I checked out. Sandy gets her shot at 6am and I had packed up during the rain the night before. I love your videos and it was great to meet you in person. Safe travels and I hope to see you down the road again.
Hope you feel better soon. We just completed our vacation in the nearby Buford area, our 5th Labor Day we've spent in the Flat Tops and White River National Forest area. We hiked up to Big Fish Lake and it was just beautiful. Your campground looked great! Hubby and I have really enjoyed this summer video series.
I really enjoyed your videos from the campground. It was good to see and hear what you did there as a camp host. It is such an amazingly beautiful area, and looks like my kind of campground. I hope you are feeling better soon. Wishing you safe travels once you are back on the road.😄👍
Everything look really good. You have great standards. Being open to this experience allowed you the time to be still and be. I trust your next adventure will also serve you well. Hope to see you down the road. Stay well & Happy 🙏🏽🎈🍀
Only came to that campground once with.supervisor and maintenance guy and we spent a full day weed waking. Had some vandalism there. Sounds like things have changed a little.
You definitely made that campground look more appealing with all the work you did. Glad that you had a place to call home for the summer to enjoy life in the outdoors.
I like this gig for all the reasons you mentioned. I’ll be looking for the follow up videos on the details. Thanks Brian for sharing your experiences the way you do and looking forward to the next one 👍
i can see where you would rather do the salmon run in alaska or the beet harvest for big bucks. switching it up once in a while is fun too if you can swing it.
I am surprised to hear that it is so quiet there. In Ontario, Canada, my kids always had to book campsites weeks or months ahead in order to get one, as if they were hotel rooms. They didn't camp this year, so I don't know if that is still the case. Maybe there are just more places to go in the US.
This campground is very remote and not really near any cities and it's not on the way to way to anywhere. Probably has a lot to do with the low traffic.
I really enjoyed this series of your videos. It was different than the usual but I found it very interesting. I would assume many found it very interesting and the videos probably got a lot of views. I really appreciate you sharing this experience.👍
That's a great job you've done with the campground, it looks so neat and tidy. I bet it was restful to be up there in the cool weather when the rest of the country was baking in the heat. Maybe something to do every other year?
Beautiful looking spot to spend the summer! Thanks for sharing about it, enjoyed it. All the best for your further travels. Looking forward to your next videos.
Hope you feel MUCH BETTER soon, brother !!! It looked like this GIG was just what ya needed, for the summer .... Sometimes, peace of mind, is worth MORE that the money, Brian
Man, they were lucky to have you, especially after issues with certain hosts! I think they'll actually cry and be heart broken knowing that you may not be back!. Wonder how it's gonna feel being back on the road and saying some you haven't said and we haven't heard in a long time,"AND AWAY WE GOOOO!".🤣✌️🚚👍
Thanks Buddy, retired 2 years ago and last year lost my wife of 43 years ago. Trying to figure out what to do now. I think I'd be alright with way out campgrounds, but unsure, can't take a lot of crap.No pun intended. Thanks Dirk
I've had a bad cold for the past couple weeks which starting tapering off last week. I'm close to normal but with a bit of chest congestion. Sounds like a relaxing summer given other life stresses, but money is always nice too :) Looking forward to more updates as you close out the summer and move on to whatever is next.
Kool update Brian. Glad you are almost ready to hit the road in a few weeks.Kool summer chillspot. Enjoy the cool mornings. Its almost 90 here at Craters of the Moon, sure hoping for cooler weather soon . Im tired of being in the AC all day. Be blessed yo... 🤙🤙🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸
Well, you had a good summer. You're leaving the campground better than you found it. I'd say a decent experience. Ugh, summer cold is no fun. Hopefully a quick recovery. 🙂👍
I'm so sorry you were under the weather so bad😢. So many people are getting colds around here too. My sister just got covid 3 weeks ago and is fully v------+-+- I'm praying you feel better soon 🙏.
Hope you feel better soon! Camp grounds look fantastic! I am glad you had a good summer out there being a camp host. Kirk and I will be going to Vegas to get married in 3 days! after being together almost 20 years we are making it official. Viva Las Vegas!
You're leaving it much nicer than you found it, excellent job.
I agree! It sure looks good now. Special work ethics you have!
That's for sure. Brian like us actually cares and has a work ethic that a lot of people don't anymore. I always took pride in my work. I'm retired now and my body hurts from all the hard work...
I think it would be pretty cool to roll up to a campground and have Bryan as your camp host.
Just such a humble dude. Not perfect, no one is. Just a good dude. A humble, hard working dude.
Thanks Brian. They’re fortunate to have you as a host. Well maintained
Ohhh how beautiful .. the trees …. Can’t imagine the color changes

Only came to that campground once with.supervisor and maintenance guy and we spent a full day weed waking. Had some vandalism there. Sounds like things have changed a little.
I think the owners of the property lucked out when you came along. That great attitude of taking care of it like it is your home.

Thanks for all the insight on being a camp host. Great info, great videos.
Great informational video. Gas in West Central Texas was $2.41 for regular. It was $2.62 ten days ago. I would enjoy a small camp host position.
That's cheap 2.41.
@@raymondsenecal8943 Sam's was $2.39 but I don't have a membership.
That's a great job you've done with the campground, it looks so neat and tidy. I bet it was restful to be up there in the cool weather when the rest of the country was baking in the heat. Maybe something to do every other year?
