In today's video I'm going to show you how to make an awesome audio visualiser for absolutely free. An audio visualiser is an animated video that reacts to the audio that is playing in the video. This is perfect for uploading music and mashups. When the bass hits the visualiser goes crazy and connects the audio and visuals in a fluent way. Somehow it makes the music feel more alive and engaging. Huge RUclips channels like Bass Nation use audio visualiser in almost every single video. Not only does it look really cool but it's also an extremely professional way to present your music. Ten times better looking than just having a still image in the background. So let's jump on the web and show you how you can make your very own for completely free.
The website we are going to be using in today's video is linked in the description below. However, be sure to watch the rest of the video because I'm going to be giving you some tips on how to make the visualiser even better. So the first thing we need to do is visit musicvid.org. Then when we are at the home page we are going to click get started. Here we will be greeted with all of the audio visualisers that we are able to use. Be sure to look at which ones are free. Some require attribution. For today's video I'm going to be using the classic audio visualiser that is this one in the top left. This is the most popular style for audio visualisers. However do use any of the others if you feel like doing so. Click on the preview, then you will be taken to the page where you can edit the visualiser.
The first thing you must do is load in your file. Once your file has loaded in, it's time to edit the visualiser so we can make it unique and personal to our music. There are a ton of settings so feel free to play around with them and make them as weird and wonderful as you would like. For me the main things to consider changing are the background image and The particles section. First I will load an image on that I would like to use as the background. I like to change the particle speed and the re-activeness. I like movement with the music, for me it feels more engaging. Next we should change the emblem. This is where we can put our logo on the visualiser. be sure to bare in mind that your logo should fit in the circle nicely. Square logos don't quite look right. It's important that we have our logo featured here. It's a great way to brand our music and allow the audience to know exactly who they're watching. I also like to turn the re-activeness up on this section also, for the same reasons stated earlier.
Now, we are pretty much finished. If you would like your video to be 1080p then visit the settings, render settings tab and change the resolution to the one you desire. The default resolution is 720p. Next we can go to export and export the video. This usually takes a while so don't worry. Go and have a coffee or something. It will give you an estimated time of how long it should take to create your visualiser.
Once the visualiser is finished rendering it should automatically download. If it doesn't then click the button to start the download. Once it has downloaded you're all done. Now you can upload the video wherever you chose copyright free.

For anyone still coming here, the creator of the website has no longer gone to provide updates to the site so however condition it is in he is leaving it that way. Unfortunately as it is right now I find now way to upload customer backgrounds, some visualizer are defunct, and theres many other issues littering the site. whatever you can get to work is good but the creator has abandoned everything.

Been slogging away in a freeware video editor making a working visualizer for my tracks, but the effects were pretty shit.
Took me about 10 minutes to get a decent looking video out of this, it's rendering as I'm writing this.
How to change the background image other than the circle spectrum? I don't find it in other templates
i tried it, but after the music volume decreases gradually automatically, and at last ends, both in the preview and export video. how to solve it?
Could you do a tutorial on how to make it more sensitive to the sound? Like sometimes it doesn’t work for the voices.
adjust the spectrum settings, put the spectrum to the side of the image logo and boom

Okay first off mine says to export it it takes like 182 mins, and secondly i put my settings on and i get this message: Projected file size (1786MB) is too large with the applied settings. SOMEONE HELP!!!!
great tutorial but i have followed the instructions to make emblem pulsate to beat of music but its not working , its a reggae beat i want to work with.
FYI the 1080p output didn't work for me on many attempts... it just created a large mp4 file that wasn't playable, but no problems exporting same project in 720p
Figured out a fix for 1080p... change 60fps to 30fps

None of the menu options in your video are showing up. I add my audio and I can’t tell where the song is or how to edit the video. Nothing is working

i can't get it to be reactive enough. my logo barely moves at all, even though i have the reactiveness turned to max. my track has plenty of bass and has a balanced mix. i don't know how the demo track gets so much reactivity, wish there was a way to make it *extremely* reactive
edit: oh figured it out, it's under the layers section. also found a possibly better visualizer called vizzy by the same creators
vizzy is much better, i use it for my daily uploads!
Great tutorial, do you know how I could do this for a 3 hour track? Unsurprisingly musicvid seems to freeze if I try to load in a 3 hour track.
Very difficult, you wouldn't be able to do it on a website that's for sure, atleast not for free. Maybe look at some plug ins for your editing software and see what comes up. If not then check out my how to make animations for free video, perfect for longer music videos!

Unfortunately this doesn't work for DJ sets. When I try to export, it says my file is too big
Yes, it would maybe work with a 20 minute one but not a large one, you could do it in intervals, let's say 10 minute sections then edit it into one large video. Thats the work around.
