This movie follows a new character, Alan, who finds there is a thin line between hero and monster. This bloody adaptation blends the story elements created by Mike Richardson with the stylistic overtones from the 1994 film version of "The Mask".
This fan film will be dedicated to the people who helped bring these characters to life and the Fans that Love them.

Finally the real The Mask from the comics! I loved the old movie with Jim Carrey, but in the end that movie was very far from the original dark and creepy atmosphere of the comics. I can't wait!

i saw the Jumanji one just today and well, so good their are still creative types in world. Hollywood should hire these people.
This is closer than Jim Carrey was to the mask comic book from Dark Horse because I feel that the fans that actually watch the movie we're thinking that that's how the mass was originally but the way that the mass was originally is what this fan film is going towards.

I know the mask is supposed to be like super scary or rather he's really powerful and in the original comics it was like really bloody but why didn't they play up with the commute occurred to me aspect of the mask and it's antics like saying things like catch phrases or something. I just don't know why everything needs to be so dark and edgy when the thing that made the first mask movie and the comic book so great was a back then even though everything was so graphic in the comic books the cartoon like attitude of the big head killer was one of the things that made him so iconic and when Jim Carrey played the mask once again the cartoony was played up but in this one it just seems like it's just dark and gritty for the sake of being dark and gritty. I don't know I just think that now everybody's trying to be the dark of knight When in reality they should adopt ideas from the dark Knight and others should go the opposite direction kind a like Deadpool.
Yours is the only sensible comment out of the lot. The original comic was very cartoony whilst having a lot of gore. The blending of the two is what made it an entertaining read.
Abbas Khan to be completely honest if they wanted to make a serious story about the mask they could've made the one about the little girl who gets to use the mask or the one about her father. But even that one is a bit on the funny side. Kinda like when someone tells you a sad story in the silliest way that can so they can laugh instead of cry.....

Não estragaram personagem nenhum, aliás... é outro personagem... Quando o cachorro usa a máscara, não é o Jim Carrey... entendeu?
E a verdadeira história da Máscara é nesse sentido, de um vilão... nesse filme é uma vingança... No filme tradicional, quando o Stanley a usou despertou a natureza oculta dele, é isso que a máscara faz... Então o filme se tornou uma comédia.
Na real o quadrinho original era extremamente violento diferente do filme, esse fan-film é bem mais fiel ao material original.
