Just bought this and I'm very glad i have. It definitely has that marshall on steroids sort of sound, and I'm a fan. I love 5150s and rectos as much as the next guy, but it's nice to have a break from that
Great plugin. After about two days of experimenting, it works best for me with some 3rd party IRs (or with custom Mikko2 IRs) and while the IRDX technology is great, I've found that I get the best results when IRDX is about at 50-60% and not at 100%. (The IRDX effect also works with 3rd party IRs if you load them into the plugin.) This is my opinion at the moment, which may change later. :)
I trialed this plugin a few weeks back and then got an email notification saying they were gonna stop the promotion pricing, so i jumped on it and bought it. This is my first plugin as im making the switch to digital and selling all my hardware (amp+pedals). Couldnt be happier to be honest. This plugin is badass and you get some really amazing tones
HOLY FUCK!!! I was on the fence but after seeing you demo that quick take record option, this has become a must buy for me. I can't tell you how many times I've lost a groove or idea when I'm jamming and then try and setup my daw to record. LOVE THIS FEATURE!!!
I would dig all these plug-ins and iRs whatever the hell they are if there were going through a Driftwood or another Tube or solid-state amp I'm old school
Hi Taylor I just installed the free trial version of the plugin before I could make a judgement of buying and so far I am confused. The reason is because when I go to channels two and three, it doesn't really have the crunch I'm looking for. Keep in mind I also turned on the od's and it still doesn't sound right. I'm running it through reaper and I am wondering if it's a latency issue or an issue on the plugin. Any advice and thank you for your time.
I bought it and I like it. The Gate acts a little funny at times though, still trying to work that out. Also, I feel like I have to get some 700-900Hz weirdness out of the tone most of the time. I haven't really tried with loading 3rd party IRs with the IRDX too much though, maybe that will solve it?
That record feature is something I liked in bias fx2. N that’s why I use that. Don’t even need to record. I was looking at a pedal version of this and I saw your mooer looper x2 review. Sadly it has not arrived to my country yet. Sure I can use the groove loop but I think the looper x2 is much better for songwriting and backing tracks.
@@dougb3854 I was a Patreon member. Decided to leave Kyle, sorry brah. He's a good dude. He does a good job, I'm not gonna knock the guy. Yes, there are dudes who dial better like John Browne, Taylor and others
@@TaylorDanley He bought a real amp and played it. Didn't seem to like it very much but there were 2 videos, I can't seem to recall much other than he wasn't a fan of how it sounded. I'm guessing it's a good amp in reality but like everything it's about what you need from your gear
Dude just wants to make money by recommending plugins. This plugin doesn't stand out in any way. It's more important how you can mix. Everything sounds good on RUclips because of good mixes. There are also double tracks of guitars, but at home you play in mono.
Wrong. I’ve used it up against other plugins and it does stand out. The IRDX adds a realness to it I’ve never heard from any other plugin. Yeah mixing is important but it actually is a great plug in and you’re just talking nonsense. And you don’t have to play in mono at home. Are you serious? There’s stereo effects. Yeah you’d never track with them but for just jamming they get the job done. Sounds to me like you’re trying to sound knowledgeable about something that you’re not
You got great tones from the MLC. Vogg, from the band Decapitated, has a signature amp with them.
the plugin is based off the same amp ;)
Thanks dude!

I own the MLC Vogg. This plug-in demo nails the real amp tone pretty well. Nice job!
Really missing a deluxe reverb or Vox ac15 from them...
Could i use just the IRDX with another amp sim, like the one knob ones from Bogren?
Chug-chug! Sounded pretty sick to me, chief! 🤘🏻

Awesome plugin and a great demonstration!
The IDRX thing sound like what most Irs are missing. That subtle compression tilt. If that makes sense.
Nadir ir cabloader have the Same function, resonancev🙋🏻♂️
@@daviddurden8391 nah that just boost the top and low end into a V shape. Its not very dynamic. And can be harsh on certain IRs
Can get the same effect with a subtle compressor or my favorite technique is using a super fast delay, kinda beefs up the tone if you do it right
Two notes has it with the overload control
There's also the Audio Assault aIR Lloader with has all sorts of tools that get the same effect@@WholeLottaBulldog
Yo send me the settings for these tones man lmao
Sounds better than when Kyle demo'd the real amp :P
Kyle doesn't dial in amps to my liking anyway
