    Kenneth may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but I'd bet my life he's happier than 99% of you city folks. He has no unbearable bank notes, no car payments & he is single. Yes he may lack something's most of us have but he will continue living just as he is....himself. No acts, no fear of acceptance & he will go fishing and watch the girls swim. lol. Wish him the best & healthiest life to come. Thanks Mark for your admirable work.

    I have no way of knowing, but in my own opinion, I think this man suffers from gross developmental delays and mentally, at least anxiety. My mother was a genius. A literal genius. However, she suffered with terrible schizophrenia. My only child is adult age and suffers from gross developmental delay (rounds out to be intellectually about 5 yrs old) and classic autism. Drugs are not in the picture. This guy genuinely reminds me of both my mother and my kid. Both his speech and his behaviors/body language. Given their ages, if any of you were to stumble upon one of them on their own, I can only imagine what drug problems you’d ASSUME they have without knowing what’s wrong.

      I've surprised some people are saying they understood everything he said. I've spent years listening to speakers of different languages, including 25 years as a court stenographer reporting verbatim the words of virtually unintelligible specialists and I also speak 3+ languages myself. But much of this interview flew by me despite repeated careful listenings. Maybe some people's computers or phones have better speakers or sound than others?
      Maybe those who did understand could do the rest of us a great service and transcribe this here in the comments. I did that (transcribed a long interview by Mark of a somewhat mumbly alcoholic named Red, I think). It's a lot of work but it would be very greatly appreciated by the rest of us.

    I stopped in to see if i was the only one who couldnt understand Kenneth.
    Someone mentioned they thought he had a hearing problem. I was born deaf in my right ear, and as a result i was given a seat front and center in my classroom. All it did for me was to make me feel singled out. Decades later my second husband said he feels i had such a hard time in school was because i was more intelligent than i let on and i was not being stimulated. Perhaps this is what happened to Kenneth? No one saw his true potential. Maybe if he had a change in venue his life would have been very different.
    He does seem happy tho.
    BTW im now in my 60s and along with the 100% hearing loss in one ear abd more than 60% in my keft....when i pull my hearing aid out, there is bliss in not being able to hear much of the shit thats buzzing around in the world. Silence when chosen. Is bliss.

    he's from where my family is from. I spent lots of time there.
    the ignorance I've seen in comments here and fb piss me off.
    people have no idea what they're talking about.

      Trust me 60 days in jail is a long time if you are the one doing it. It’s the boardum that gets you. Jail doesn’t have any privileges like prison does

      So you or people you know have a significant disability? This gentle person has one or more disabilities that came long before any drug use; probably born with them. Is it that hard to see or hear?

    • @tammymoore6126
      @tammymoore6126 Месяц назад +2

      No I heard what he said. I also heard he uses meth. So what happens to this gentle soul is a drug dealer knows he gets a check and takes advantage of that.

      @@tammymoore6126you also heard that he doesn’t know how old he is. That he’s NEVER been able to get a job. That he stayed with his parents until they died and THEN had to figure out how to switch the Ssi recipient so that he could support himself with that check. You heard that he didn’t give a clear answer to nearly anything, but if you were really listening, the drug “meth” question was led. He didn’t say it himself. As in, it was assumed he did drugs. Not confirmed. People who receive SSI have a proven significant disability that prevents them from working or having had worked. It is Not the same as someone who worked and then got into drugs. This was like interviewing a 1st grader with intellectual disabilities and then using a single interviewer-led question to make a snide comment about how you hear that everyday. 😒

    I’m pretty certain that when Mark asked him “What do you do for fun?” His answer was “Go to the creek and watch women swim” I have to admit that concerns me a little, hopefully I either misunderstood him or he intentions are innocent in nature
