    A tip for next roll of pipe. Tie one end to your truck and drive off. The friction with the ground causes it to unwind and further driving pulls all the twists and bend out.

    I know your dad knows to do this, but just a reminder because it is so hot and you’re wanting to get that line put in so quickly… Make sure you guys remember the exact spot that that coupling joint was put in on the PEX… Drive a spike down into the ground and paint it and make sure it is is a always visible….should you ever loose pressure and feel there may be a leak,y’all will know exactly where to dig,instead of digging way more than what you need to…just an fyi…you guys are doing such a great job on your house…stay safe, stay healthy and God bless!

      @armandchargois5733 10 месяцев назад +6

      @@jeffroberts760 indeed, It’s not that people don’t know to do that,it’s just that a lot of times we get so caught up in what we’re doing and trying to get the job done quickly that we fill in the holes and then we realize … where did we put that coupling in? I used a big flower pot like you see at maybe a Lowe’s to put a large flower/plant and just leave it right next to the rod going into the ground…then,you don’t even see the rod because of the plant…worked for me…and no one will hit the rod or drive it in the ground….not really a big deal, until there’s a leak,right? Best wishes and God bless!

      Many many leaks I've fixed here in the UK as an external plumber .we dig holes so far apart and use a mole run by compressed air to create a tunnel to each hole using a scope to hit the target hole we are aiming at ,not such a long distance that you folks are doing tho and the harder the ground the harder to mole it ,I feel for ya it's hard work 😉

    Ahhh, summer in the south. Nothing better than wearing soaked clothes for 7 months of the year. I mean how else is the dust in the air going to stick to your skin & clothes if you're not wet? I really love when my skin is chafed & also when the sweat dries & leaves a nice gritty layer of salt on my skin. It's so soothing.

  • @WardDorrity
    @WardDorrity 10 месяцев назад +1

    Up here in north Idaho, everything has to go at least 4 feet in the ground in order to be certain you're below the frost line. And we have a generator to not only power the house, but to keep the well house warm and to operate the pump when the power goes out for a day or a week. Nothing worse on a -15F day to have the well house freeze up.

    Another way to check
    For
    Leaks
    To to put an air fitting on the end of the line and pressurize it to 60 psi which is the max for
    Most houses. The plus to doing this is you won’t get wet it will just hiss at you and if you have a pressure gauge on it you can see if you have a slow leak too
