I just wish mine came off as easy. Beat on the damn rotor for 10 minutes and now I have been beating on the hub assembly for 10 or more. Have some liquid wrench on it now hoping to eat some of that rust up. I looked this video up to make sure I was not missing something. Was worried I would have to remove the parking break drum assembly. This just convinced me I am good.
Gotta tell ya brother...you are the best!! Former back yard mechanic myself. Did wheel bearings many years ago on many cars. Now I own an '04 Maxima 3.5 love the car, spent lots of moolah from the front end to the rear suspension, to the timing chain install to the radiator to the...well almost everything that makes this car run. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how it's done! There should be more of your kind of gentlemen out there to ease the anxiety of doing your own work on ones car. Thanks sir!
Thank you so much for the video, it helped a lot. I have a 2004 nissan altima. I really had to "convince" my rotors, I recommend a rubber mallet, less noise for the neighbors.
Great video. Can you confirm if the speed sensor is right behind there as well? I just started having the ABS issue where it kicks it when I'm not braking hard at all.
I hAve a 2007 , I tried to change the rear hubs but the bolts on the calipers gave me hell. Then the bottom.bolt is blocked by a rod....... should I use an electric mini impact wrench ?
This should be same for a 2012 Nissan Maxima? Right? I just finished doing the front wheels and now of course 3 days later after I finish them I'm getting a humming noise coming from my back left wheel so I'm pretty sure that's what it is.
This is label this "2004 Maxima rear wheel bearing replacement ". He didn't show how to replace the bearing at all. He just removed the whole assembly. Just another example of Video Title mislabeling. Here I wasted my time watching a video to see if there is only one bearing or two ( a tapered bearing and roller) in the assembly and to find out if the one can be pressed out in a hydroponic press. My questions still are unanswered.
I have another that shows the removal of the actual bearing assembly. On this model it is easier to replace to hub for the cost. You would not want to save $20 and go through the extra work. Check another video for the actual bearing R&R.
Very clear process, no extra fluff in the video. Just what I needed. You have a great soothing voice for auto repair videos!
Thanks !

good stuff
The caliper bracket bolts are 19
What's the torque ? For the four bolts, it can warp the housing if it's not done right.
Stevie Jeff just common sense tight. Put a good pull on it. There's zero chance of warpage.
@@2012nugget I found it 90 Nm.. I don't want a customer coming back to me for warranty issue
Would this be the same procedure for a front right tire on an 06 maxima? I mean tool wise.. I gotta purchase tools first. :I lol
Sort of but not really, same principle.
I know this video is old it looks like..but I have a question.. reply if you get this message?
Of course I get messages silly, go ahead.
