@The Golf Life L3Harris filmless WP achieves the highest specs from what I've seen/read. Just for those who don't know - L3 and Harris merged. The Harris night vision side was sold to Elbit Systems of America (ESA). Filmless WP is out there with specs ranging from low-to-very very high so definitely ask for specs. The NVD-BNVD's can be a little confusing with all the different models now. The one I have uses the newer style housing for standard 18mm tubes like what comes in the PVS-14 and ANVS-6/9 and uses PVS-14 optics. They offer them with a few options in white phosphor. 1) L3 filmless (Gen 3), 2) Harris thin filmed (Gen 3), and 3) Photonis Echo (Gen 2). The cheapest out of these 3 would be the BNVD with Photonis Echos at $6k. The others go towards and over $10k. There's not a ton of reliable info from end users on the Echos but according to one of their dealers they're supposed to be pretty good. Mine are Harris thin filmed. There's some pretty interesting dialogue on the ar15.com night vision forum. I'd recommend visiting it and joining so you can post questions if you want answers directly from dealers.
Appreciated your info, knowledge and sharing your experience. Wondering if it's possible to contact you by email with some more in depth questions? Thanks!
They don't have to be a perfect match but there are some specs that should be as close to the same as possible to have the best outcome IMO. In particular photocathode sensitivity, gain, and halo. With PVS-14's or Mod-3VG's you can use the gain control to match the brightness but it kind of sucks if one tube is a lot brighter than the other and if you have to turn it down. Most people like a brighter image. Halo's that are way off from each other will drive you nuts. If you have two tubes that are not closely matched, put the better tube in front of your dominant eye. Your brain will use that image mostly.
If only someone would make a pvs14 for 1000 bucks or a ninoc setup for like 2100 that would be the day when the rev price comes down or drop the gen 2 tubes down there same price as the gen 3 practically. Should be sub 1400 by now
I hope I get enough money to get one. Just a PVS-14 for emergency use, in case of a power outage. I'm not a fan of flashlights. That's for civilians use, lol.
I don't believe it would be possible as-is. I'm not 100% positive as I'm not overly familiar with gen 1 devices/housings. You should consider a Gen 2 like a Photonis, they're less money than Gen 3 tubes.
NITEWALKER an average dude (average dual tube buyer, that is) might find them, but they'll have something to consider. Is it worth 12.5-14.5K for a pvs-31 because it's light when you can get a 5032 for 11.8, a WP sentinel for 9.3, or even most other dual tubes for ~8k. It really ends the same way every time. "Do I want to lord over the plebs."
Im just waiting on my amc stocks to moon then I’ll be able to afford night vision. But it’s got to moon to the dark side because that stuff is soooooooooo expensive. Got to have a 6 figure job to afford them responsibility without breaking the bank.

Thanks!

Good video!
Thanks!
Does having 2 pvs14 give you double vision?
Generally no, it works well for most, however, it's possible.
Reminds me of recon on bo4 😅
lol
Why though? Why would you need to match specs just for the same look and feel? You could get a better one on one eye than the other.
Should be sub 1400 by now
Agreed
I hope I get enough money to get one. Just a PVS-14 for emergency use, in case of a power outage. I'm not a fan of flashlights. That's for civilians use, lol.
Excuse me sir. I am wondering if it is possible for me to put a GEN 3 tube in my GEN 1 NVGs I am really low on cash and can only afford an IIT
I don't believe it would be possible as-is. I'm not 100% positive as I'm not overly familiar with gen 1 devices/housings. You should consider a Gen 2 like a Photonis, they're less money than Gen 3 tubes.
DoD only...
The BNVD-SG is available for civilians :)
It's also cheaper than -31's (if they were available to civ buyers)
NITEWALKER there ARE ways to get a 31, they're just hard as F***. And... you know.14K or so.
For those in the circle ;) The average dude ain't going to find em but then again he ain't spending 14k either, lol
Crashmaster Mike my company sells PVS-31s for $15,000 @ SeeTheNight.com
Im just waiting on my amc stocks to moon then I’ll be able to afford night vision. But it’s got to moon to the dark side because that stuff is soooooooooo expensive. Got to have a 6 figure job to afford them responsibility without breaking the bank.
Bro, I've been thinking the same, cashing in on crypto to easily afford NVGs, haha. Just can't bring myself to do it when I'm trying to HODL.
Why you always wearing gloves? You're freaking me out
I try not to get skin oils on the housings and especially the glass.
