The best way to mount the PVS-14.

- An articulating arm/mount is more expensive but it offers a lot more functionality and I feel is superior to a fixed mount. I use the Integrated Components D-14 but the Knight's Armament Universal Bridge is awesome as well although more expensive. Links below. The best helmet mount to use it with is the Wilcox L4 G24.

really like this setup. thanks for the vid
I quite like the g24 and noise fighters ax14 pro, very light weight and you can switch eyes without taking anything apart.
How close can you get this set up to your eye and adjustment. I’m currently using the normal Wilcox J arm and with the g24 set all the way forward I’m barley getting enough eye relief and it has to be lined up perfect.
suddenly yes, very nice, i ve used same setup with wilcox bridge which is symmetrical and you can place mono left or right. It's also good if you need some dovetail thermal like skeet, ir patrol or flir during the day.
That is a nice mount. I went with the pvs-14 wilcox J arm that allows you to flip from left to right, but i think i would love that integrated components mount you have a lot better. Just need to save up $600 bucks for it.
The D-14LW is the same mount but no QD feature. It's also lighter and less $$. You can remove the unused side and switch the -14 from right to left. It's not fast but you could do it in a few minutes with a multitool.
Love your vids, keep them going!
Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated
Yeh, I bought an anvis setup, and I'm trying to find the right adapters to mount it to a PV14 J leg. Good luck! Woof.
U could actually use the Norotos INVG with your Wilcox dovetail jarm. Does exactly ur job and switching sides without taking it off
Ho Tam It’s not a Wilcox j-arm. The arm is part of the Integrated Components D-14 dual PVS-14 bridge.
Nice video, I have the rhino 2 mount with bayonet, I was going to remove the bayonet and buy the dovetail adapter and then get the d14 with dovetail mount.
That's a good way to go. Budget friendly and lightweight. You lose just a little bit of articulation from the lever on the side.
I have this setup and it works really well. Just as stated you do have one of the levers in the way. That being said super budget friendly setup and compared to g24 mount you save 450-500 and get pretty flat orientation on helmet for stowed when articulated out all the way. It's lightyears better than bayonet mount, and pretty dang close to g24 as far as adjustabilty and stabilty.
Ok so after watching the video you did mention certain names of items but is there any way I could get a list of the names of your helmet/mount/any other gear you recommend? I'm very new to the NV game and am looking for a quality setup that hopefully won't break the bank too bad and you seem knowledgeable and certain that this is a good setup and I'm curious to look into what it'd cost me to purchase all these items. Thanks for sharing the video and your experience on the topic with us newbies!! Hope to hear back from ya
Thanks. There are several different mount combos that work really well. This one is great if you want the ability to remove the -14 via QD and swap eyes that way along with articulation. The info is in the description but it’s the Mod Armory D14 and the helmet mount is the Wilcox G24.
Otherwise, since this video, a newer arm entered the market made by Noisefighters called the AX14-PRO. It is an articulating j-arm and you can switch eyes without having to remove the -14, and it’s less expensive. I’d still recommend a Wilcox G24 to go with it.
Another option to look at is the Norotos INVG Hyper and the Norotos Dual Dovetail Adapter.
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION hi just a quick question, will this bridge work with running a PVS14 and an IRAY USA RH25 Thermal?
Thank you.
@@Beavereaver if the iray has the pic tai then it should plug into the empty socket on the bridge
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION nice 👍 thank you.
@@Beavereaver 🤙🏼
I agree this is a perfect way to run the pas 14. :)
Great video. What mount/set up is this? Where can I find one? (Noob to the nightvision game here)
See Video description
Thx for the video. Is this still your favorite single pvs14 set up? I'm considering the G24 + AX14-ARM.
Have you either used, or considered using, the Norotos INVG with a Norotos Dual Dove Tail Mount? I’ve been told by knowledgeable NV Instructors it’s the best Mount for a single PVS14.
Mawl_er I have not used it. I started with a single -14 but quickly went to dual -14’s. It looks like a great mount with solid lockup for a single -14. I think the set up in the video is superior for two reasons. 1. It has the additional use option of the ability to articulate/rotate in addition to stowing the -14 flat on the helmet and quickly switching eyes. 2. The G24 is a mount users won’t grow out of and works great with all devices including goggles whereas the INVG is really only suited for a single -14 with the DDA. Many -14 users end up upgrading to binos or dual -14’s and they can use the same mount.
Would this help with me not being able to correctly line up the pvs14 with my eye with a j arm and G24? G24 bottoms out and the eye piece hits the helmet so it won’t swing any further up and to the right.
It should because the D-14 should be taller so the -14 should sit lower.
So I run a Wilcox G 24 with a Wilcox dovetail J arm. And I find that I can’t get it super close to eye. It also has a bit of play and wiggle. I don’t want to change the G 24, would this solve both of my problems? Can I get the unit flush with my eye if I wanted to, and would I have any wiggle or play?
hey Nitewalker I plan on using this bridge mount with a PVS-14 and a Flir breach. What would you recommend for the shroud, arm, and other equipment necessary for a newbie like me to understand the mounting aspect of all of this ?
MrDrinkthekoolaid You’ll need the Integrated Components D-14 of course, the arm for the Breach to use it with the D-14 (link below), and a helmet mount to connect the D-14 to your helmet. I recommend the Wilcox L4 G24 but you can run a less expensive dovetail helmet.

Why this over the lite version?
Jonathan Nichols I got this version originally for the quick detach for taking pics/vids. Take it off real quick, attach it to an iPhone or DSLR adapter, and stick back on when done without having to take the helmet off. The LW is a great mount and it’s lighter and cheaper. I used one for a short time and really liked it.
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION Are you able to detach the arm that isnt being used on their lite version?
Michael Coley Yes, you sure can.
will i still need a seperate arm mount or is this the complete package?
All you need is a helmet mount like the Wilcox G24
Can you recommend hearing protection for this helmet setup?
Depends on how much you want to spend.
On the lower cost side would be Howard Leight Impact Sports and the Unity Tactical MARK 2.0.
Higher end would be Ops-Core AMP (get the connectorized NFMI compatible) and Ops-Core AMP Helmet Rail Mount Kit.
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION thanks !
Nitewalker, what do you generally consider is the most cost-effective mounting solution for the PVS-14? I've found Wilcox L2 G05 mounts for sale w/ lanyard and one-hole shroud for $200 - that seems like a steal compared to a dovetail/Rhino II mod solution.
It's hit or miss with used gear. The biggest weak point with bayonet horn set ups is replying on the USGI J-Arm. They are pretty hit or miss.
I'm very new when it comes to NVGS, and what not, so please forgive what is going to seem like a stupid questions. Right now I have the PVS14, and a Wilcox G34 shroud on my helmet. What exact arms/attachments/pieces/arms would I need to mount the PVS14s to the helmet as shown above. I see the D-14, but if i'm understanding it correctly the D14 just interfaces with your original mount? do I need an different mounting piece for it to connect with? The PVS14s themselves do not have a quick connect, is there some sort of adapter?
Or can i just buy the D14 and I can go from monocular to mounted that easy
Jake Jensen No worries 👍 The D-14 only connects to each PVS-14. You’ll need a dovetail mount that interfaces with the helmet shroud for the D-14 to connect to such as the Wilcox G24 or another mount like a dovetail converted Rhino II, etc. The relationship is: PVS-14’s
whats the Helmet in this video too thanks.
Wilcox G24 👍
Would this work well with an iray mh25?
Is this still relevant or is the Tnvc NPBM a better option?
Actually, now that the Noisefighters AX14-PRO arm is available, it’s a better option price wise
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION is the kac bridge currently your favorite way to mount dual 14s?
@@crunchyknees3622 Yes, but mainly because I use the QD to pop one off for videos or to use the Breach. Otherwise, if no need for QD, the NPBM and Panobridge are better dual bridges because they’re noticeably lighter
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION have you had any issues with durability? They look flimsy
@@crunchyknees3622 no issues at all
I have a standard ECH and run 1 PVS 14. Will the IC D-14 and Wilcox g24 mount work for that? The rhino mount and j arm is just horrible in my opinion
It’ll work. If you have a Rhino II, you could replace the bayonet interface with the Norotos PVS-15/18 socket instead of using the G24. There’s just one roll pin to take out. tnvc.com/shop/norotos-pvs-15-pvs-18-socket-for-aka2-mount/
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION what base plate do you use ?
@@andrewmeans49 Never ran nods with an ECH/ACH. I'm running bump helmets. An Ops Core Carbon with a Ops Core skeleton shroud and a Team Wendy with a molded shroud with metal insert.
So sicc how much?
Im new to the NVG game so forgive my ignorance. I bought a team wendy helmet with wilcox shroud. What parts will i need for to be compatible?
Was thinking of purchasing a G11 for the PVS-14 but then was thinking of getting a dual PVS-14s down the road. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thks
You'll need a J-arm for the PVS-14. The standard GI one uses the bayonet interface and you'll need a bayonet mount like the G11 or Rhino II. I wouldn't buy them new because for a little more money you can get a dovetail J arm that is a lot better such as the Wilcox tnvc.com/shop/wilcox-anpvs-14-arm-w-nvg-interface-shoe
or the Mod Armory www.modarmory.com/product/anpvs-14-j-arm-adapter-with-nvg-dovetail-shoe-or-bayonet-interface/
If you do one of these dovetail j arms, you'll need a dovetail mount like a L4 G24, TATM, or a converted Rhino II to dovetail.
If you get the D-14 or D-14LW, it's a dovetail interface and you'll need a dovetail mount.
Avoid the knock off mounts from China. I wouldn't trust putting night vision on them. You have to be careful on ebay too because some of the fakes get passed off as real ones.
The AR15.com exchange night vision section has good deals pop up pretty often. The night vision forum is a good place to learn and ask questions too.
Oscar Bustos I went with this mount, it will let you get the pvs-14 closer to your eye, the on/off button is almost useless, ive heard a few say to cut the wire to the button.
tnvc.com/shop/wilcox-pvs-14-arm-w-auto-off-switch/
NITEWALKER on the AR15.com exchange, how does that process usually work? Do people pay for the items thru paypal or cashiers check or what? Have never sold anything on this exchange before and i would like to sell a wilcox J arm just like the one you recommended above.
@@rawblow4512 Yes, most people use PayPal but you can request different pay methods like USPS money order or cashiers check. USPS money order is a good option because it's all done through the Post Office including they cash it on the spot. Once you start selling and get feedback people are more likely to buy from you.
how secure is the mount? noticed no bungee system for any possible falling of system
tac driver52 I used to bungee the bridge itself to the helmet but honestly I haven’t done that in a while. I’ve never had an issue. It’s a good idea to check the arms where they screw into the -14 housings before you use them. They can loosen up from use but when cinched tight they stay on really good.
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION ok thanks one last question I'm looking to getting into nv but wanna start with something not as pricey to learn was considering the agm global but curious if that mount was specific to pvs-14
tac driver52 It is meant for a -14 or something like the Micro. Basically anything that uses -14 j-arms.
Ive never seen anything more confusing than trying to mount a PVS-14 to a helmet, and thats saying something....
New to the NOD game here and just purchased my first PVS-14 which is being shipped now.
Would a Wilcox L3 G10 work with the I.C. D-14 dual setup you're running? Or prefer The Wilcox L4 G24 Breakaway NV mount?
Also just found this mount as well. Expensive but look nice.

Thank you -
The G10 will work. It's heavier than the G24 and requires it's specific shroud. The G24 is better IMO. The Wilcox bridge is nice and so is the Knights Armament (RQE). I think the D-14 is the best bang for the buck.
