I bought the PM422 a couple weeks back for Twitch streaming and for the money it is incredible, everyone i talked to recommended a snowball or yeti but after pricing them out and listening to the mics I think the Maono beats everything else in the $100 or less range and even sounds dam near as good as the HyperX Quadcast
does it pick up background noise alot?
@@bryanteehee682 as long as you don't have the gain on the mic cranked up its minimal
Hey man, kind of a dumb question but does the jackport of the always output your voice or can you disable it somehow in order to just listen your PC?
@@nsfshdfgj it has a little touchpad above the gain nob that mutes the mic
@@dealspeed6756 Oh sorry I meant while using the mic as well, I just kinda wanna use it the port as just another 3.5 output rather than just for monitoring, all of this while using the mic, I assume this is not possible?
I was literally just listening to your music . Had no ideas you did reviews too!
I Don't Have Habit Of Commenting on RUclips Videos but You Are The On __ Brother Your RUclips Channel Is Very Useful For Me I An From 🇮🇳 Love U Keep Doing What U R Doing
Great review! Very helpful. Thinking that I might have to switch to this mic. Instant subscribe!
that link in description just took me to an ad
would this work with the SteelSeries artic 7 wireless
Hey.. great video just what I was looking for.. is it good for vocal recordings for songs? Cos I’m recording in an untreated room and I’d like to see how I can deal with that with this microphone.
Hello from spain! Nice video, i have a question. What is better microphone, Tonor Q9 or this Maono AU-PM422??? Thanks
If you sing a song wearing headphones, will the beat be heard in the headphones?
damn, i just ordered this after watching your vid. Subbed!
does this mic pick up much background noice?? like keyboards and stuff
do you plan to make a video about how to finish a track? love your videos:)
Plz compare it with jbl mic 🙏
Nice video. thx for the discound code ❤
Is this the raw audio or does it have filters?
I have this mic and your right there are a lot of things to love about it. But there is one BIG thing I hate. The preamp is TERRIBLE! It is one of the noisiest pre ever. Also keep your phone away when you use it or you’ll get a lot of interference. Devon I’m curious what you have noticed about this and how you compensate. I really hope they improve this on future models because otherwise it’s a great sounding mic
i know this is a dumb question but what is preamp? Im thinking of getting this mic for streaming and I REALLY want to know ur HONEST review.
@@veli1x Hey there friend. It's not a dumb question at all. A preamp is the needed component that takes the signal of your source, in this case a microphone, and boosts it so that it is loud enough to hear. Every microphone has to go through a preamp in order to be recorded. USB microphones have built in pre's but for the most part they are cheep and small so they can fit inside the microphone. I would say if you are on a budget and just getting started. Using the Maono 421 is a great choice. In truth I use mine for that all the time because it's easy to setup, it looks great and sounds pretty good. The main problem with the built in pre is that it is noisy. That means you will hear a hiss sound. It's low but you can hear it. If you have a little more in your budget, I recommend getting a Presonus PD-70. It's a Dynamic Mic ($130.) Being a dynamic mic it will reject a lot of room noise so it's better to use in non sound treated areas. I also looks a lot like the very popular and great looking (and expensive) Shure SM7B broadcast microphone. But to stream you need more than a mic. You will need an audio interface like a Focusrite or something similar. A decent one will run you about $100-$200. An audio interface will have a much better pre amp in it and better analog to digital conversion. You will also need an XLR cable to connect the mic to the audio interface. So in a nutshell. You can go the cheap and easy route by just buying a USB mic like the Maono and deal with the preamp noise or spend a bit more and have a slightly more complicated setup and get a cleaner more professional sound. Hope this helps.
what gain level on the microphone do you guys use like on the literal knob?
is it god for music like rapping?
Is this the same as the pm421 but has the headset port
can you turn it off hearing yourself?
Will it sound great immediately? how about in calls?
Its a USB mic. Plug and play. So, yeah. Also, depends on how you use it. I suggest putting it closer to your mouth.
How would this mic be for recording a project would it be Good?
It's not bad. You have to tame some frequencies as it can be a little harsh. But with the right plugins it can sound great. I recommend Waves NS1 to remove Preamp noise for sure ($29)
I recently bought the mic and when I was in a call my friends said it was horrible. Idk if my mic if broken or anything the shock mount thing was also broken I couldn't tighten it. Mic quality bad for me but for some reviews I saw it was amazing.
did things get better?
@@jornave4407 Well I started using voice meeter, but it is still not as good as I expected. My headset (Astro A10) still has better mic quality.
@@OnlineMoneySecrets1495 I have no idea what the problem is also. But when I bought my prebuilt the psu and motherboard was not listed. So it might be a motherboard issue but also might not be
Link is broken! But great vid looking forward to get a number of these for podcasting

Man i love you
I don't know if this is a dumb question, but does the mic arm sway? I wanted to put it further up on my desk and angle it towards me
it does, you can move it until the boom arm becomes straight
Thank you for your video. I want to make educational videos, and I need a high-quality voice. Which one do you recommend? 1-Maono AU-A04 or 2-Maono PM422 or 3-Maono AU-PM422. I appreciate your reply.
Maono pm422 and au-pm422 is the same, and i highly recommend pm422
