- What’s up with TK’s contract extension? Most of us expected it to be done on or around July 1, but here we are, a week later, and very little sounds like it’s happening in regard to Travis Konecny. Could the extension not be coming, or is everybody just on vacation?

'supposed' like Shane Wright is 'supposed' to go at #1, Yakupov is 'supposed' to be super. Its a pool of 200 guys each draft. Are those 200 next year 'really' better than the 200 guys this year?
I dont think michkov will be there for game 1 either. They will just say "visa still delayed". The flyers are broke. This perfectly explains why they drafted luchanko who cant pla this year

Why are they selling Michkov jersey now? Because when he isnt in the lineup game 1 they wont sell any

The only thing that was disappointing was that they drafted Luchanko higher than they needed to. They have 3 firsts and 3 seconds in a deeper draft next year.

You don't know this though. Pure speculation. Like Sennecke going #3....lots had him 10+. Guys like Bob Mackenzie can make his lists all day, but the scouts like guys, and not others. I didn't see one board having Zeev dropping, or being the last of tje core dmen....but there it is. Did teams see stuff they believe are going to hold him back from being a true top pair guy? All speculation and personal bias really but you, me, and these guys, don't have access to teams draft lists.
@@johncody4259 Sure, but a questionable pick is always going to be questionable until the player exceeds expectations. If the player is a hit, the team looks smart. If the player fails, they look like idiots. I'm going to be disappointed if my team picks a guy that I and most scouts believe is worse than other available prospects.
This is a huge fail for the NHLPA. NBA does offer sheets and no front office gets butt hurt over it. Plus the NBA doesn't cripple the signing team.
Why are you expecting big moves this off season? Did no one listen to Danny when he said this is a long term process? This was his second draft haha. The next draft is the key to this franchise and they've known this for a while.
This last draft was mediocre, timing assets and great drafts is key to where they want to go.
The trades that will need to happen will happen by the end of this year. Most teams arent usually trading next year picks at the TDL. So this TDL could be a heater to load up even more for 2025. Likely why you didnt see someone like Laughton moved yet.

Oh, and damn skippy Charlie - patience in a plan being a commonality between Briere and Hextall CANNOT be a bad thing.
I want this to be done the right way and not rushed. No need to go out and get someone unless it's too go to pass up

I like Charlie but for Gods sake you need to stop it with the Upspeak at the end of your sentences
they need to DRAFT a 1C, probably a 2C, and a 1D. Not sign them, DRAFT them. I think they plan on signing them. And while that may work in the short term, it will artificially shorten whatever window they open.
They just drafted a 1C. And unless we somehow fluked in getting Celebrini...we weren't getting a 1C in this draft.
Next year has a plethora of 1C potential kids. This is where we go all in on a 1C.
