Many thanks for a good, clear & explanatory video. The innovations in LB are great but without such tutorials I would not know about them and/or how to use them .Much obliged!
Thanks! One other new feature that I noticed was that you can now install Lightburn with a dummy laser profile. This will let me install lightburn on my home computer and work on designs when I'm not at the shop.
I suspect when working with taper warp, you may want to enter the "Bottom of the glass"number as the "Bottom of the design location" instead. How wide the bottom of the cup is, is not relevant to the artwork if there is no artwork down there. This will be even more critical where a tumbler base is stepped down vastly. So, top/middle/bottom of the art area, vs of the total cup.
Nope - The software actually accounts for this by measuring the height of the design, and adjusting the warp accordingly. It’s almost like we think of things like this. ;)
I'm new to Lightburn. I'm finally getting comfortable with my new Bolt and Lightburn and I don't want to lose everything that I finally got setup, especially my libraries and settings. Is this going to be the case?
all of your library’s, material setting and lightburn files are stand alone files on your hard drive. they are not housed within LightBurn. so be very vigilant about having a backup protocol incase your hard drive crashes. if for some reason your library disappears it’s not lost or deleted it just not loaded.
@@computercreationz I do have folders organized with everything. I’ll make sure I have everything stored before I upgrade. The more I use Lightburn, the more I love it. I’m excited about the new features! Thanks!
You can just select one of the lines and rotate it to whatever angle you want. You can already do this of course - the guide lines pulled from the rulers are just horizontal and vertical lines on a tool layer, so there’s no reason you can’t make them already, this is just provided as a convenience.
Hello, I have a license that I bought in 2023. I would appreciate it if you could inform me if my license will work when I update it to the new version.
Does lightburn ever create a feature that is just useless that no one would use?? It's just strange that every single thing they try is great and awesome. Even the best software designers at Autodesk miss the mark occasionally.

How did u get white and black on your tumbler when the powder coat was burned off.... other than stainless ? Well done 👍
this is a silicone wrapped tumbler from jds it’s black silicone that engraves to white. it has a great feel but I don’t sell very many !
Great video as always. Question though, where to you get the tumblers that engrave white? They are really cool and unique. The designs really pop
those are silicone tumblers from jds industries. surprisingly I don’t sell many but I love them they have a great feel!
@@computercreationz oh thanks! I’ll have to take a look. We source a number of things from JDS already. So I’ll take a look!

Can the new version do guide lines at angles in degrees? Hope they add it if not.

oh good to know, I have a need for this right away! thanks for the input!

that’s why I love this software, most updates have a purpose and moves the needle for providing a better laser experience!
That’s just one of the benefits of a small company😎 They focus on the squeakiest wheel(user suggestions).
All hail the Mighty Oz and his staff🥰
