I dont know how this channel doesn't have more subscribers. You make it so easy to understand. I have been watching laser vids for years but just finally bought a 100 w co2. I have figured out some of lightburn but figured i would just go back and start from scratch instead of just figuring it out slowly.
Like many others I've watched lots of tutorial videos to try and get to grips with my Atomstack laser. I have to say this was by far the most informative of them all, well done and thank you.
EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you. I like when the presentation is made by an old guy. Because that tells me that you had to feel the same pain like I feel. Don't be offended, I am ~10 years older than you 😉. Again, thank you....Bernd
Please do more Lightburn video's....this one was great. You are awesome at explaining things. Thank you for going slow, some other people just go so fast and click so fast before I can see what's going on and follow.
You are a great teacher! I first downloaded Lightburn and thought I'd never be able to figure it out, but with your simple explanations you just might be able to teach an old lady some new tricks...keep the videos coming!
I got Lightbourn to connect what it was. The whole time was a cable USB cable that came with my laser was no good so I went and got another one. Everything showed up my driver everything so I’m now I’m trying to learn how to do the engraving. Thank you again.
@@computercreationz yeah I’m still learning it. I’m trying to make my first engraving, but I don’t know where to start. I gotta bring files into my library and watching videos on RUclips help me out a lot but sometimes they go too fast cause I try to follow along with the video, but hopefully I’ll figure it out cause I’m excited to do my first cut.
Hi i am new to this, and at the age of 62, I give it a go I have a ortur laser master 2 , it’s only a small laser, and lightburn software, I am dyslexia, and I have looked on lots of videos of lightburn, ,which is hard to follow, but know I have found your videos on lightburn , it’s starting to make sense, a big thankyou to you for your time and skill ,Neil
Young man . I want to thank you . Ive been oulling my hair out trying to learn this stuff . Watching lits of videos and even the instructions baffles me . Ive always had a bad learning curve and have had a great time in life gettingvit all half right . . I got nowhere with sll 8f them . You just clearly taught me this stuff to get me started . Half way though i already had text and photos in the work area and editing thank you so much . Now if I could just get the program to talk to my laser I need a newer computer.
I just found your channel today! I received a xTool D1 for Christmas and have been having a lot of fun with it. I am also new to Lightburn and your videos have really been helping me out! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I've wondered about all the icons on the bottom. I'm glad I'll be able to rename and input the Spd/Pwr. That alone was worth watching the entire video. 😁
Thanks for teaching so that I understand. I have learned more watching this one video then I did watching 10 of someone else’s. Please continue to teach I’m a subscriber
Thank you finally someone that knows how to TEACH . I don't have to go get the book laser for dummies. Thank you I need to figure out how to send you a gift much appreciated. I am very new to this game of of Lasering.
@@computercreationz as a newbie to LightBurn ... do you have a video out on how to set up the colors on the bottom of the page and transferring art to screen?
This has been the BEST video I have watched on Lightburn so far. Your simple explanations make it easy to understand and comprehend exactly what you are explaining. I can't wait to watch your other videos and see what you have planned for the future! Thank you so much.
Great video for beginners!! Really appreciate it! Moving from Inkscape/Glowforge to a much bigger machine with lightburn and this bridged a huge learning gap for me!!
You're awesome! Seriously! Thank you so very much for doing all of these videos! I still have months until my laser arrives...but I'm trying to use this time and take all of this stuff in so I can get rollin' right away! Again...THANK YOU!!!!
Congrats on your laser purchase, I know before I got my laser I spent allot of time on RUclips taking in anything I could watch, It really helped. I appreciate your comments!
Thanks for the tip about the notes, that one I didn't know. A counter opinion about making adjustments at the controller. I try not to make any adjustments at the controller unless I have to because the membrane switches on the controller have a very finite lifespan. Once one of the membranes breaks, that button will stop working and they cannot be repaired only replaced. Since these membrane switches mount directly to the main PC board in the controller, if any moisture gets through a cracked membrane your controller is not long for the world. Your computer mouse is much easier and cheaper to replace.
THANK YOU! I know it has been awhile since you posted this, but I just got my XTool D1 and I have been struggling with positioning my material. Your video cleared all the fog! Keep up the great work!
Excellent video. Helped me get up to speed much more quickly with right level of tell us and then show us. Video pacing was just right and I really enjoyed working along in lightburn. Thanks. John Z
I'm new to laser cutting and Lightburn. My Mira9 is on order and won't be here for awhile, but I'm trying to learn and familiarize myself with the software. I think this was a great video! Even though I haven't had an opportunity to use it, this video has made it not so intimidating already! Can't wait to watch the others. Thank you so much for your time!
Love your videos. Each one has clear, uncomplicated instructions for each step. One of the best Laser/Lightburn channels I’ve watched (and I’ve watched plenty!) Look forward to more.
Very nicely done, learned a couple things. Didn't know what the T colors represented when they were added, and the big one for me was being able to drag the screen around. Been using the scroll wheel to zoom in and out, especially using the editing tool, but the lack of pan bars drove me nuts. One thing about changing the settings of the colors, something I found that can be done if you wish to keep default on start up, but want to change a few for a specific job. Open TWO lightburn sessions, work in one where you make all your changes, and when done, close it first. When you close the second LB window, all the default settings will be saved. This way if you have them all laid out for average jobs, and you need to modify one for just one particular job, you can without disrupting the normal levels and names. What I like about Lightburn is that you can run multiple windows at once, though only the first controls the laser, it allows you to import an SVG or DFX with multiple parts, and you can cut out individual parts, work on them in another window, and save them as single parts. I do a lot of RC airplane parts and this is very helpful for me. If I want to test cut the parts, I import into the second LB window and cut them from there so I can cut from the primary window. I just with is had a dimensioning tool for those angled slots, so the proper degree can be made.
This video was very helpful and starting to learn Lighburn on my new laser. Enjoy your new sub; looking forward to watching more of your very informative videos. Continued successes to you!
