i find it funny they coded the big eye boss final moving part, with the walls enclosed, to be weak to the 100% upgrade. Like why? is it just cause every boss is weak to it? or did they just happen to code that in for the lols? it's kinda weird that the final boss is immune to it, but not something that you can't use it on normally. oversight maybe?
It can if the enemy is able to make it down to a part of the wall the hadoken can reach. The only truly unkillable enemy is the very final enemy you face, because armor.

Yep. When you obtain 100% of every upgrade and enemy weapon type, if you can pull off a chain of riding the last Minecart out and leap off to die at least twice, the secret pod will be there, exactly as shown in the TAS. If you punch in any passcodes, the upgrade is completely inaccessible, making it a good incentive to play from the start. Edit: why the fuck did minecart get changed to Minecraft? Anyway, fixed it
you need to see that spot where the capsule appears a total of 5 times, and in the last one you need all items and full life. ez like that. i'm p sure you can get it even if you use passwords. to execute the hado just slide your finger from down to forward and shoot

Judging by how this occurs at Sigma's first stage as it turns into a propellor, I think he executes a bug to make the game look through its file directory and loaded sprites. Which is why it turned into a platform in Storm Eagle's stage.

I never used Boomerang Cutter on the optional boss in Sting Chamelion's stage because I thought it wouldn't leave me with enough for Chameleon himself. It never occurred to me that an enemy could drop weapon energy to refill it.
In a regular Speedrun, you kill that optional boss with 18 boomerangs and five dash lemons. That leaves you with enough ammo to kill Chameleon with the rest of your boomerangs + one dash lemon.
My guess would be to help with the haduken later? I also noted they didnt grab the heart tank on the way that time. Maybe was worried more about saving time beating armored armadillo and knew they could cone back later for the tank duribg haduken?
Curious as to the reason for intentionally dying on the final platform jump on Armored Armadillo? I tried looking for notes as to why it was done, but to no avail

That may be on purpose. The RNG in MMX1 is based on a number of things, that can be manipulated in a TAS (exact frame, enemies killed, wall-slides). Maybe he manipulates RNG for extra life because he will need them to get the Hadouken.
Why did he get hit in the Chill Penguin rematch and then grab an energy in the next room? Wouldn't he save time by not getting hit at all and skipping the freeze the energy creates?
TAS times from power on till end of input, which differs from how RTA runs are timed, which is gain control of character to last hit on final boss. The reason TAS does this is that the TAS itself is merely a series of timestamped button presses, and they time based on the length of the input sequence. When applied to a specific game and played back at normal speed, it gives the impression of superhuman skill and execution.
Just for the record, though the runner passes up the health tank near the end of Armored Armadillo's stage a couple of times, it is eventually collected by the boomerang fired at 23:06.

That's how you unlock the hadoken, which can oneshot most bosses.
