A sneaker/loafer sounds like a really bad idea, But they've pulled it off. I think they look really good. I will probably buy a pair,( a darker colour).
Think they are on to something with the silhouette, but I think they should drop the mesh and go all suede with minimal paneling so that it still passes as a comfortable loafer for smart casual outfits without being too loud.
Very interested in the Junya's and those Joe Freshgoods! (Hadn't seen that burgandy color before now). Even the silver pair is kind of growing on me to be honest.
I tried to get these on the drop day and the distribution online was a complete joke! I was locked in a waiting room on 4 devices only to find that they were sold out. I couldn't believe I was dealing with the same crap dealt with on the SNKRs app for years. I wonder if they will re-drop this particular color again and what the future drops dates will be. You're fortunate to get a pair and thanks for the details.
Although these are not my style at the moment, I do think they look pretty cool. I like brands taking risks and trying new things rather than churning the same silhouette in every color of the spectrum.
These look so sleek. I think they take the futuristic look a lot of new balances have to the next level. I'm so disappointed that they don't fit well for wide footers because my feet are hella wide and I was looking forward to buying a pair
@@JoshDominic I definitely will but don’t have high hopes. I wear my 990s with like a thumb and a half of room in front of my toes already. I get heel slippage in things like Mexico 66s
Just my own taste, I think they used the wrong base model to try this on. But that’s because I like my loafer to feel like a sneaker but still look like a loafer, and the 1906 is very much the type of sneaker that probably won’t be trendy at all in a few years. Loafers aren’t loud about their paneling and tech (because they don’t have any tech usually). So I would have preferred if they did this with, say, the 997, or even the 1080.
I believe, in Asia, these are only available in Japan. :/ The upcoming colorways look promising as well esp. the all-over. black, grey-suede, and 1906grey. 🤩 But for sure, I’ll probably end up still buying in the resell market lol Thanks for the sizing advice!!!

Got to check them in hand but not going to lie. I do prefer not mixing running shoes with old school loafers because they are having a resurgence with more bright color ways. These are just wild mix of loafer but a sneaker. I do give respect for NB putting out a wild idea out there in a new market.
I disagree with the first time seeing a cohesive looking dress shoe sneaker. I'd say the Last Resort VM005 is a much cleaner sneaker loafer(skate sneaker) than New Balance and they've been doing that shoe for a while now. Although, I'll discount the Jordan 11 because it doesn't really have that dress shoe look. These New Balance Loafers just look ugly.
I just googled that last resort pair and I disagree, that shoe looks like they glued the top from a loafer with a sneaker midsole and these 1906L definitely don’t look like that.
@@JoshDominic I guess people just have different tastes but I'd rather wear the last resort pair over these New Balance. I don't know if these will do well or not. I know that their new shoe like the warped runner looked like it's flopped because it's been heavily discounted. Will see if these are just a fad.

I bought the 1906L magnet and I bought my regular size in NB which is UK8, they fit perfectly and there was no need to half size up.

Is terms of sizing, do you think your TTS pair will break in over time or is it unbearable to the point that you need the half size up? Thanks.
Went with my true size, tried a half size up and there was noticeable heel slippage
