Hi George, Nice to start with some Matthew Halsall, probably my favourite contemporary jazz artist and I have most of his albums. Great cover on the Wayne Shorter Tone Poet. John Patton line-up sounds strong. Cheers Dale
A great haul George top man! That Mathew Halsall is new to me!! Its fabulous, beautiful and uplifting, thanks (on order!). Ezra Collective is a funny one, I'll give it another go! Thanks again! Superb 😊
Wow, that Wayne Shorter album looks awesome. So cool that he included Curtis Fuller; I'm a big trombone fan. I have that Anthony Williams album! My copy is a 2014 Blue Note 75 re-issue. I'd love to hear that John Patton album; I want to hear anything with Bobby Hutcherson and Grant Green. The record you played sounded great but I didn't catch the name of the band. Thanks for showing the records!
Hi randy yip the Wayne shorter is a real good lp. I will replace some lps if I get something remastered from the original tape. The first music was Matthew halsall at the end was ezra collective.the John Patton is very good also.
Nice additions George. Haven't been listening to any jazz of late, just not in the mood at the moment. Blue Mitchell is a name I've heard about the place for a long time, not sure if I have any records with him on. Lovely cover art on that one. I veer back and to between Elvin and Tony when it comes to favourite jazz drummers. Cheers, James
Hi G. Lashing rain here now... definitely feels like will be spending lot more time in front of the speakers as season changes. Ezra boys have been my playlist for commute for last few months. Shorter Schizo being ordered tomorrow following your recommendation. Cheers
Hi Thomas. Yes I’m good thanks. I got lots of records though I’ve not listened as much. I guess I’ve been a little saddened by the war in Isreal. I’m off on Wednesday for a week in Morocco first holiday in 3.5 years. Maybe do a show today hope you are well. Cheers g.
Hey George, I remember you showing some Halsall before. Good stuff….I’ll be checking more of his music. I’ve been on a Wayne Shorter kick lately so I know I would really like Schizo. The same goes for Big Jon Patton. Have a cool weekend!
Hi Bradley. Yip I have four of matthews lps and all very good. You wouldn’t be disappointed. Fab Wayne shorter as good as any. And yes big John Patton another fine lp great blend of musicians.
That Shorter sure has an all star cast. Is it hard bop or moving more toward free jazz George? I never heard of John Patton before. I will have to read up on him.
Hi Steve it’s definitely hard bop. Not out there a real good lp. Yip big John Patton. Organ player but real good lp also the guitar and vibe’s just go really well together. Organ is not overpowering.
I have never seen the Wayne Shorter and the Blue Mitchell. I have not been keeping up with all of the BN new releases during the endless summer. I have gone to the beaches more than I have gone to the record shops. Unfortunately fall is coming soon. So I will be back digging and ordering more online. Would you recommend the Shorter as one of his better albums? Thanks G~ Rob/Boston
Do you think the New Lands are all analogue? The never quite say so explicitly. They do sound very good though, look out for Night Lights if you haven't found it yet.
@@scottspinner1 Yes, that was the complaint I think, definitely B side in some of the early pressings. They pressed a lot because it went out through Amazon.

Thanks George yip the tony Williams is very good but a bit out there not for everyone.

Hi rob it’s early days with it but initially it’s definitely up. Yip autumn is upon us now. Time to get snuggled up.
Màtthew Halsall is a genius
Yip love his music. Thanks.

Got to be all analogue. Going to the bother of getting Kevin gray. I had night lights. Was a crap copy. Waiting a new one.
There were a lot of bad pressings around I heard.
@@gr328 mine was mr mint. Supposedly. Probably a return. A side poor. B ok.
