yeah and out of armor they are still rather deadly, as seen in Halo: Nightfall. This is also why the few times you hear hunters speak, they never use singular pronouns when referring to themselves, they operate with collective consciousness in each colony, making them very adaptable.

Come one people, give the guy a break about his speech. He sounds like an otherwise intelligent and pleasant person. He might have difficulty reading or a speech impediment that he's having to work against. It hasn't stopped him from making high quality, entertaining videos.
I agree. I have a much less noticeable speech impediment and I can sympathize. It is REALLY irritating when my mouth just refuses to say what my mind tells it to say. I often just stop and take a deep breath, or if I'm not calm I might just mess up and go "okay mouth just freaking stop that shit! Gosh! Ugh!" And then I feel better. It only happens when I read though. Not when just talking with nothing to read from. So I bet he gets fed up with his speech, and he can't very well just record 1 thousand takes until it's perfect (never happens). So he likely just bites the bullet and makes the videos. Advice I have for him would be instead of making a script, write down about 2 to 5 words that remind him of a bunch if information. This way the reading problem won't kick in. I use this when I teach people. It helps me immensely. However, all speech problems are different, so it may be less effective for him (or more, actually).
I don't really have a problem with it but the only thing that bugs me is his pronunciation of Sangheli to put it simply it would be more or less easier to get someone to read a set of lines that says Sang-heli the second part sounding like how you would say Helicopter but as one word. That or watch halo legends episode "The Dual" as the Sangheli say the name of their home planet at least one to two times in the show. Anyway other then that the rest of the video was good.

As I understood when I read about the scarabs the LekGolo isn't the sole thing that is making the scarabas (like the hunters) just that they controll the scarab which is a machine, so maybe johnson and the other marines controlled the scarab. For example the first scarab in halo 2 the elites are controlling the scarabs. Some scarabs are controlled by the lekgolo (halo 3) and the 2 scarabs in halo 2 are older versions and controlled by other species (elites etc)

What 343i has done with the franchise isn't terrible, but you can see the influences of other games from the designers who had worked on previous project (namely the full integration of sprint and smaller maps both void vehicular use).The mechanics and level design of Halo 4 were not the best of the series, the story of halo 4 felt rushed. and the multiplayer lacks a lot of variety than previous titles.You're entitled to your opinion, however I wouldn't go so far to say that 343i hasn't done some pretty bad things with franchise as of late.

Scarabs are Lekgolo colonies... you learn something new everyday. There's this thing that upsets me about the Hunter Pairs. Two things really. They never have speech. And, considering the amazingly imaginative concept of Worm Colonies, they are used by the game developers in unimaginative ways. It really hasn't changed since Halo 2. I want to see a hunter pair combine into a terrifying Goro style monstrosity. Or perhaps split into Eight smaller Entities that scramble about the player, making itself a very difficult target as it attempts to reform behind you. just thoughts.

Canonically, there were also a lot of Mgalekgolo who sided with the Separatists too, as you could probably see within the final mission(s) of Halo 2. They just weren't featured as allies in Halo 3's gameplay because that would be extremely confusing trying to distinguish between friend and foe (seeing as they were on both sides). In fact, I think a couple guys in Bungie actually acknowledged this as a problem in Halo 2 as well, during developer commentary of the first couple Arbiter missions.
There could be some many more variations of the hunters and scarabs. What would be cool would be a flying one as big as a phantom that can land on the ground and shot like 4 big fuel ride cannons like a giant metal beetle!

It's quite simple, really; they ARE the Scarab. The worms spread out through the Scarab's limbs and power core. Their armor is made from the same material as the Hunters'. Do you understand?
Think of the Hunters as a tiny Scarab. Or the Scarabs as giant Hunters. Either way, it'll work because the worms act as a hivemind covered in impenetrable armor. How much armor they have and what shape that armor is, is what determines the fundamental difference between a Hunter and a Scarab

I've never been one for art books.. But it would be cool if it came with it. I'm more for statues :). I have the H3 legendary helmet, the halo reach statue, I also have that limited edition hunter statue from forward unto dawn that only 500 in the world were made, also the halo 4 master Chief statue from McFarlane toys.

the halo 2 scarab did not have the support of the hunter worms...that was solely piloted by elites/ brutes

It's quite simple, really; they ARE the Scarab. The worms spread out through the Scarab's limbs and power core. Their armor is made from the same material as the Hunters'. Do you understand?

I have the H3 legendary helmet, the halo reach statue, I also have that limited edition hunter statue from forward unto dawn that only 500 in the world were made, also the halo 4 master Chief statue from McFarlane toys.
