Great analysis! The other things to keep in mind, you can carry on two bottles of wine and also on port days most won't be drinking as much on the ship. For the non-alcohol, at the moment, X doesn't have a specific limit therefore you can carry on cans of juice, sezler, etc. You can do this not only during embarkation but also when returning from a port
Really helpful information in this comment. Thank you for posting this. I actually did not realize you can carry non alcoholic drinks back from the port. I assumed they would confiscate them just like the alcoholic ones. This means you can grab a case of something at the port (assuming they have better prices) and cut down on your ala carte bill even more.
Honestly the most brief but well informed breakdown Ive seen. Im an accountant so breaking it all down with a spreadsheet is speaking my language. Keep up the great content. And personal thoughts on why I get these packages -- I skip a lot of these types of unnecessary transactions in my day to day life and it feels nice to be able to real splurge without thinking about it on vacation. Like you noted about the zero proof drinks, you get to try things you normally wouldn't.
Thank you for your kind words. I genuinely appreciate them. I also wholeheartedly agree with your point. Sometimes it's great to indulge, and a vacation is the perfect time to do so.
@@tomsunday exactly, i wouldn't want my parents to feel bad ordering drinks on their retirement cruise vacation i gifted them, so I'm opting for the zero proof package. and will a la cart the occasional glasses of wine.
My wife and I will be taking a 10-day Celebrity cruise to the ABC Islands in the spring. We were initially very confused about the drink packages. The two of us will probably drink 6 waters, 4 coffees, 3 juices, 3 glasses of wine, and 2 aperitifs per day. We will also bring aboard 2 bottles of wine at embarkation. After considerable thought, we bought the Non-Alcoholic Drink Package for $431.84, or $518.08 with gratuity. Thank you for this video! It has confirmed our decision.
Since my wife doesn’t drink alcohol, I was able to upgrade from the Classic to the premium package and transferred my wife from the Classic to the non alcohol drink package. Worked out great.
Great info. Im sailing the Ascent in March and the website now says you can only bring 1 bottle of wine per person in your carry-on instead of 2. I plan to purchase drinks a la carte since the drinks I saw on the menus that i like aren't covered in the package and ~$15 -$20
I am glad you found this video helpful. I noticed Celebrity is changing a lot of the rules when it comes to drinks. Ascent is going to be a great ship! I can't wait to sail on it in about a month. I'll make sure to put out a ton of content for it. Stay tuned!
Omg- best breakdown of the nonalcoholic package. Thank you thank you thank you. It was exactly what I wanted after watching 10 other videos!! However, I don't know I heard after October 2023. Their gratuity is not included anymore, so wouldn't that affect the bottom line I guess you just supply it in cash????
Thank you for your kind words! I am glad you found the video helpful. The tips were removed from all included cruise faire. That change does not affect the drink packages. Cheers!
So if an alcohol drink package is included in my cruise but I wanted to let you know the non alcohol package, will they give me a discount or will I just have both?
Your alcohol package includes most non alcoholic drinks. So you don't have to worry about purchasing anything else. The only exception are the juices at Spa Cafe. They are only included in the non alcoholic and the premium drink packages. I hope this helps answer your question.
In the zero proof, it’s included the non-alcoholic beers and wines no? In the celebrity website says that it’s included Al the non-alcoholic beverages.
I have never seen even one non-alcoholic option on board. I do not think the non-alcoholic beer or wine is available. Even if it's included, you will have a hard time finding it on board your cruise ship. Don't count on those beverages being available.

That is a win! Nicely done.
