Thank you Chris. It was great to find a tutorial with a person that didn't have to shout and "oversell"! :) Great stuff. I now learnt "The Drum Kit Designer". Being a newbie I kind of got lost when you started to add plug ins etc. (but that's because of me...)
Hey man, glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah there’s plenty of new things you’ll come across along the way. But one step at a time. Thanks for stopping by 😁
Super! Now, to rewatch!!!! Thank you, for the expansion!🙏🏼✨
You're so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Solid video! Thanks!!
Glad you liked it!
Great video. Cant you do the same thing with using producer kits?
I believe the producer kits have different options in terms of tweaking but it should give you some flexibility.
Good stuff! Would you base the whole project with a drum tracks like this? I imagine it could become a mess of tracks. Or Would you export your drum track as a wave file?
Thank you! Sometimes, it really depends on the project. I find myself now either using superior drummer with a similar workflow or I’ll just use individual samples and program everything but either way I usually keep all the layers whether I’m working in this method or end up exporting them as stems!
Thank you for the info! It's really hard to find people cover the details for Logic Pro X Stock Drums, I'm glad I found one!
Happy to help Vincent! You’re right not too many people cover this topic. Happy to have brought some light to the table
Awesome Video!!
Thanks for the visit!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Great sounding drums they are almost realistic
Cheers glad you enjoy it!
I have Avery similar wall hanging from England
Likely to be the same one hahah, seen a few of them in the UK hahah
Thank you! New to logic, it seems so well implemented with Mac OS. Cubase is broken on Mac. I’m considering switching definitely on Logic and Ableton. Do you need the whole Logic library installed to switch drums sounds?
Logic I find is super easy to get your head around and naturally works very well with Macs. You don't need the whole logic library installed but just the acoustic drum sounds. Plus they're all free!

Cool and they seem to sound really good with a little bit of EQing and compression.
I have followed your steps and designed a kit, but when i click on the + it doesn't expand the individual drum components. Not sure if there's something I'm doing wrong.
Have you downloaded the additional content on logic? I know there’s some extra drum samples you can get. It might be that!
Also, I realized by your reply that we might not be talking about the same + lol. I was referring to the point of the video around 2:30. The + on the main track in the mixer window
would you say a compressor plugin like yours really makes a difference?
I'm sure you could get a similar result with different compressors. This is just one I like to use!
🤙
:D
Why can't these tutorials just use the stock stuff? I can't tell you how many times I've been following along and then they start using all these third party plugins and it just totally throws me off. It's not like these plugins are doing anything different really and in basic concept it works. But for a lot of people 'beginners' who these videos seem to be made for it's frustrating. Good video .. but damn. 😂
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! But considering this was also the first video I put out it’s probably in need of an update which uses solely stock plugins. When I made this I was more thinking of how to utilize the extra sounds logic provides. The processing was more of an extra step to include. I’m happy you learnt something from it but I’ll keep in mind an idea more for beginners. Thanks again for stopping by though ☺️
