Well, In Economy mode and a steady 50 mph, you might just do it, My D4 achives 46mpg with average town and country driving. So i recon thats pretty good. A very comfortable drive and very quiet, in fact quiter than all of the E class I've had. Very Few Irritations with the car, The tailgate button illumination goes off after engine switch off, so you cant find the irritatingly small button, but the big park brake button stays lit till you open the door. Its a shame that that there is not a follow on estate car from Volvo.
