Loved this video Jen, I think I tick most of these :) and I totally believe it! You are one of the biggest reasons I am where I am now, I am so grateful for you and your content and inspiration.
I've recently read Jordan Peterson's (12 rules for life) The first part of your video made me think of a chapter in his book. to quote . "If you have a high status a (lot of money) so to speak, your internal mechanics assume that your niche is secure, productive and safe. It thinks that the chance something will damage you is low and can be safely discounted. change might be opportunity, instead of disaster. The serotonin flows plentiful. This renders you confident and calm and much less on constant alert. You often find it worthwhile to think in the long-term and plan for a better tomorrow. You don't have to grasp impulsively at whatever crumbs come your way." Such is the way for many people that don't have a lot of money and spend it as fast as they get it. It's a hard cycle to break for sure.
Great video Jennifer. I try to have a minute or so before I drop of to sleep each night to review that day and be grateful for it. A million people go to bed each night and don’t wake up in the morning. My brief reflection guarantees my last thought is positive and grateful for the life I’ve had thus far
Money does bring you peace and joy as long as you spend or save it on something valuable and worthwhile to you .. I totally.ly agree with giving. This is a very valuable thing to do with your money.
Working on gratitude is definitely something i need to do more, working out how much money we needs as well to have a more realistic idea of what we need to aim for. There is a strange element of guilt (for me) attached to earning more money than we need so I guess we should be donating more as well but not sure that would be enough. I'm not sure if a lot of people experience this guilt about earning money/taking people's money in exchange for a good/service but if you ever run out of idea for video I would love to know your perspective :)
Since watching your videos I've started donating to charities each month by direct debit. I'm on universal credit and I only give £11 per month in total, but I'm happy I made that choice. When I earn more I will give more. Thanks for your wisdom.
This is good and interesting but we are entering a transfer of wealth.. If you have money then it’s going to be transferred to the rich this next decade. Having a million is only going to help the wealthy and you will lose out. It’s scary what is coming as it almost makes investing pointless.
I don't live in fear of the future, I believe we create the future we want. If you believe that will happen then you will create an experience of that in future - and important to focus on what we can do for improving ourselves and the world we live in.
I have been feeling like this for a year now. You sleep so much better knowing college is paid for and retirement is secured - unless you get an inept, corrupt career politician as your President.
The stock market crashes multiples times each year (they are called corrections). The biggest we saw was in March 2020 recently due to the pandemic where everyone panicked, but it still returned back to before very quickly. Usually people say things are "going down hill" constantly to play on fear of people rather from knowledge. No one can predict the future, we can guess but not say for sure. I will be doing the same habits as I have always, and with investing that means if prices drop - the investments are on sale for then to bounce back down the line.

You are so kind for the comment - I'm excited for what the future will bring you ahead too!
