Really enjoyed your posts mate. I bought a 2006 Turbo S (4.5 V8) a few months ago and love it. It’s a beast of a vehicle and has an amazing roar- thank god for the all round double glazing. I’d been looking for a good one for a few months, so it had a full Porsche service history, 85k mileage and a great CarPlay unit with all the functions. Enjoy your Porsche Joel!
I’ve got cross climate 2s on my Quattro. It’s better throughout the entirety of winter, not just when it freezes. There’s so much more grip when it’s sub 7c and raining. It’s unstoppable when it does snow! I also noticed ride comfort is so much better than my summer PS4s
I was really suprised at how good the ride quality was on the CCs, certainly softer than the bridgestones that were on the 18s before, although they are 5 year old tyres.
@@itsjoel couldn’t agree more! My Mrs calls them the ‘comfy tyres’. When I put the PS4s back on last summer I had to pull over as I thought I had a puncture. Despite all of that though the soft rubber seems to wear incredibly well. The engineers at Michelin are wizards!
I also prefer to keep a different set of wheels with winter tyres. I've always driven rear wheel drive cars. And when you have snow, driving them on summer tyres will make you sweet 😅 On ice nothing grips (found that out the hard way, confident of my new winter set, I glided in a corner and cracked half of them open 😅😂), But driving a set of winters on snow is actually fun. The summers just glide and slip, the winters just crunch the snow as if it's eating it 😂
I had some great experience a few weeks back driving in Iceland (there's some clips in this video). We had studded tyres, and I couldn't quite believe how much grip they provided
Great tyre choice Joel. My other half uses Cross Climate 2 on her same sized compact SUV. Great road feel and wearing very well after 2+ years and over 25,000 miles! (she drives more gently than I do). Production quality of your videos keeps getting better and better. Love the music. 👍
I have Michelin Cross Climate tyres fitted to my Honda HRV. No problems at all with them, especially during the wintry conditions we have had over the last few years. I look forward to seeing your road trip.
For those asking why his jacket is blurred, it's likely due to a contractual agreement with the sponsor, eBay. He has worn this before with no issues. But it's not a big deal, just enjoy the video.
How do you know that's not what he meant? "Getting my Porsche Cayenne ready for it is road trip" A car can not own a road trip, so the possessive pronoun would make no sense
I’m looking to buy one of these, but out of interest, did you end up buying the 3.2 because of the elephant in the room with the v8’s, bore score? 🥲 I’d personally prefer the V8, but don’t know if I could go for the 4.5’s over the 3.2 because of this
I buy crossclimate all the time, they are a bit vague in handling, understeer and supposedly not as good in wet but they are good in snow and last 30k+ so i great balance. Have a 4wd JDM sports car which I had summer tyres on and it's rubbish on snow park and it would slide away.. changed to cc and it will literally go anywhere in snow, it's amazing
Great, could you ask E-Porsche to run through cleaning the drainage holes during a video. I’m getting a few electrical gremlins in mine and people suggest I clean the drain holes. Thanks and looking forward to the European road trip… 😊
Be aware that those are winter tires... not snow tires. Huge difference, so don't expect to have awesome handling on snowy roads with them. Snow tires are super specific and wear down very very fast so most people have 2 sets of wheels and swap them out over the winter depending on the weather to avoid unnecessary wear.
Can’t wait to put this car to good use! 👌🏻
Whisper after me: “North Face”
I would imagine eBay made him blur it and then he had the task of blurring it for the entire video haha
I can imagine that open tuning being used on a "Hamilton's Water Breaks" advert with Alan 😄

Turbo S is the dream! All the great options, and so much power!
Did you ever change the drive belt and vacuum lines like the mechanic said you should?

Thanks 👍

Hey,@itsjoel, why do you need to blur out your brand on the jacket?
Look forward to your road trip in it joel 👍
Me too!
The cross climates are great, got them on my other SUV.
That's good to hear, I'm impressed so far
@@itsjoel Looking forward to the roadtrip, I’m hoping my Cayenne will be fixed & back on the road in March, not driven it since December 😂

Umm Joel, why are your front indicators illuminated like a USA car? I'm not too sure that you should be doing that. Good luck on your trip.
Just put some Goodyear vectors on my Touareg. All season are my go tyre now. Love them
Yes, they're great too!
Hi Joel. Where do you plan to go in Europe? What’s the itinerary? Have fun!
Look at Eurowise Off Road (US)
Remember Joel this vehicle is mine when you tire of it!!!!!!!!!
Any difference hitting the potholes on the Mentmore Road?
It’s a softer blow
Fix the Volvo and see which one makes it 😊
Should go in the Volvo.

When it's windy you want to be in a big 4x4? Wow. I really can't see what the benefit of 4wd would be in the wind

Do I sense a Joel & Katy roadtrip/challenge? Joel drives to Europe, gets stuck in snow and Katy wins. That would be fun. Keep up the good work Joel.
A couple of weeks ago we had negative 45 deg ( - 45 C ) here in Sweden and a lot of snow and wind.
In my country we nearly reached 0K
That's crazy! I've experienced circa - 20C, so can't imagine negative 45... thank you for watching!
This is going to be awesome!
Had Marangoni snow tyres on my mk1 TT, that year we had an insane amount of snow and it was superb.

I'll never use a foreign corporation that doesn't pay tax. Buy local and support local families!
Joel be awesome to see a roadtrip in the cayenne? Have you got anything cool lined up?

Ya a winter adventure! Cheers Kirk
Will watch the video later but just wanted to say this thumbnail was amazing!!!😂
