Finally, we're seeing controllers with extra buttons. I want to see a fighter style with six face action buttons, without sacrificing the right analog stick.
I'd rather get rid of the right stick entirely, and use dual-gyro sensors for motion accuracy, six face buttons, dual-stage triggers (full analogue + a digital button at the base. Aim and shoot on the same trigger), and bumpers with a touch-sense function for swiping (like a scroll-wheel).
720p? A little confuse. I thought it was YT, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe an accident? IDK, just wanted to let you know, in case it wasn't just me that couldn't watch at any higher resolutions.
Why not e ink on these buttons, Gamesir? These 4 tiny screens then wouldn’t use up any of the battery, and would even be visible when it is powered down.
Using four whole e ink screens just so you can have multiple sets of buttons without switching them out seems incredibly wasteful, and would make it more expensive than it needs to be.
I did not actually start watching the video yet, I assumed there were replaceable button covers. E ink makes more sense than full screens, but wouldn’t allow for the “rgb” look.
So seamless I don’t wanna get ahead of myself but damn this controller handles beautifully if only it had micro electronic switches for the faces buttons that’s literally all it’s missing for me personally. I can understand if people don’t like the extra buttons that can only be mapped to the buttons normal controller buttons
One problem I'm having with the Switch is playing racing simulator games. These kind of games require the user to have analogue triggers for more precise braking and acceleration. I was looking for a controller that could solve this problem, but later learned through a google search that when a third party controller is paired to the Switch its triggers are recognized as button inputs (whether they're analogue or not). Not sure if this is still a problem as Nintendo can add updates and patches to their software on a whim, like Bluetooth headset functionality.
@@nowonmetube I thought about the GameCube controller but couldn't find a video of someone demonstrating in a game if it works or not... Keeping my fingers crossed for backwards compatible card reader and analogue trigger inputs on the Switch successor.
Ive always thought someone needs to make the 4 buttons be a screen that displays thr image of what it is, that way you can also play playstation and its images shown instead of the xbox/nintendo lettering
My main issue with all of these controllers is the rubber pads under the control. Only first party controllers seem to have durable rubber, any 3rd party controller rubber wears out after just a month playing a fighting game (since those require constant pressing of the buttons, unlike, let's say, an RPG).
would this even work on playstation since im not really a fan of big comtrollers that dont fit small hands. and been looking for one with fancy all around multiplat compatability.
I like the idea but I would like it a little simpler like the 8bitdo pro 2 where the buttons itself are not labeled (except the ps1 color) but give it a switchable faceplate with different layouts printed on. A Mechanical solution like the shown controller in this video likes to wear out over time. I also don't like the look of this controller :D
So can the back buttons be mapped to anything? Like, say, keyboard keys? Because I don't want or need a controller with six ways to press the right trigger. I need those buttons to all be able to be mapped to unique inputs for games that don't really have good controller support and require too many buttons.
wish it changed to ps buttons instead. its not that difficult to memorize to just press B and its shows A and X when the game tells you Y but for people who aren't ps users the ps shapes will be much more difficult to deal with
The only disappointment in my opinion is the fact that swapping the buttons around changes both the function *and* the visual. I feel the only reason you would want to manually swap it is because youre playing in some unusual configuration that would require the same inputs but different visual. I.E. you connect something to an odd device, lets say a retro console receiver, and obviously it needs to connect via android or something, and you want the nintendo layout. Profiles would help with this if nothing else.
This is a great looking controller and I kind of want to get it. But IDK why they keep limiting the systems it can connect to despite having the right protocols. Like, I want a controller that I can kind of universally switch between a lot of my systems and has all the features this one has, but I'm reading online that it does not connect to an Xbox or Playstation system, despite it being recognized as an Xinput and DirectInput device, you know the two controller APIs for both of those systems? It's really a shame because I wanted to get this thinking it would work but unless someone can show it working on those systems, it's just a pass for me right now.
It has HD Rumble. No PS layout because it's marketed to Switch and Xbox/PC players. You can always use an adapter/converter if you really want to use it for PS though.
@@EPS5000 I just checked Gamesir's FAQ for the Tarantula, it says it has HD Rumble. "5. How many rumble motors in Tarantula Pro? 2 motors. Tarantula Pro is equipped with HD rumble motors, providing realistic and immersive haptic feedback."
So weird that it looks like a PS controller but has no option for PS buttons. Even if you can't use it on a PS5 well you can always use it for emulators.
I want controllers that keep the layout im use too. If I press X in PC, send X as input If I press X in Nintendo, send X as input. No need to swap position x/y a/b.

Absolutely
I'm pretty sure the 8BitDo wireless Xbox controller does that
I'd rather get rid of the right stick entirely, and use dual-gyro sensors for motion accuracy, six face buttons, dual-stage triggers (full analogue + a digital button at the base. Aim and shoot on the same trigger), and bumpers with a touch-sense function for swiping (like a scroll-wheel).
Vader Pro has 6 face buttons
I agree. If let’s say the 5th and 6th button were just “programmable” I’d be happy with that
Missed the opportunity for three of the for buttons to be X
Every 3rd party controller should now push to do this. It’s genius.
The 8bitdo fight stick for Switch+PC has this feature, but this is the first standard sized controller I've seen that can do it.
If it also had an ability to show PS buttons, I'd be buying it right now
I think they can't do that because of Sony trademark
@nowonmetube if it's trademarked, someone should make a downloadable GitHub code to have PS buttons
What i do is, i set the RGB on the gamepad to match the PS button colors
I think the 8bitdo arcade stick can do the abxy switch right?
I love that stick, and it absolutely can.
The Nintendo version at least. It's a great base to switch out for better feeling buttons and stick.
The xbox one however is far more limiting
Finally! Someone provided a ABXY BAYX solution 1:16! Next step: LCD buttons with interchangable glyphs for emulator lovers (Nintendo, XBox, PSX)! :)
Never jumped to buy a controller so fast. And I have an ARMY of controllers. This looks sick!
how long till u take notice of this gem? 2-3 weeks. now thats a world record!

The rotation animation is a nice touch.
Thats not an animation
It is actually a rotating disc mask inside
We got a PS4-like PC controller before GTA 6! >v
Just got mine yesterday I love it for android emulation and switching over to Xbox game pass.

Really want to see what you think about MANBA ONE V
2 comments. I really like its 2-inch screen. Will you review this controller?
If this thing had better face buttons it’d be an endgame controller.
Cool video man!
Imagine this with swappable Hall effect thumbstick modules and 4 mouse click back buttons.
Just a correction: I believe this DOES have HD Rumble.
hey man really those tmr sticks feels more precise vs hall effect like kaleid flux

It's impossible to utilize analog trigger input on Switch, except if you connect a game cube controller via a game cube controller adapter.

Please review the Flydigi Apex 4 It is one of the coolest controllers i have seen

Sadly, Sony seems to be hostile to third parties when it comes to controllers.
they should try an e-ink version
Neat features, but it's very ugly
Looks like it comes in a blister pack from compusa
I have never heard 'potentiometer' pronounced like that. (Google knows the pronunciation I am familiar with.)
why is the video 720p max?

Cool
Missed opportunity to not have the Playstation symbols
I think they can't do this because of Sony trademark

Lmfao this an idea I was already talking about years ago & finally someone did it.

Why not put parallel sticks on the outside?
aka swapping sticks with d-pad/buttons
i don't see anyone doing that. Seems ideal tho...

It would be cool if it switch on PS buttons as well.
The anytroller could do all that and more, the people behind the rerez channel made it, but i honestly think it was a scam, it never got released.
Why is this Video just 720p?
The Nintendo layout is the best 🙏🏽
it makes absolutely 0 difference
Bro how do you manage to upload a 720p video in 2024
Smh

720P
Sucks it doesn't have the PlayStation buttons
Can it be used on a ps3?
Let's take a break on the controller advertising
Yayyyyy
has anyone seen a real review of this controller?
I want controllers that keep the layout im use too.
If I press X in PC, send X as input
If I press X in Nintendo, send X as input.
No need to swap position x/y a/b.
I’d rather Nintendo just stop being difficult and match everybody else 😂
They started the style. It's everyone else being difficult just to be different
Nah the JP layout is superior to the Xbox layout. They don't need to change
it's just a gimmick
Sponsored product, instant pass
Your weird for that, just because it's sponsored doesnt mean it isnt good like smh
