hello my friend, can you send me your instructions manual for premium option parts for 1/700 atago ? Please. And if you can, the premium option parts for 1/700 maya eventually ?
Aside from the superb skills, patience and meticulousness, I really enjoyed the way you went the distance and corrected the kit's inaccuracies. Much appreciation for sharing. Cant wait for your next video!
@@EbroinSong Patience indeed. I would be furious if my kit had inaccuracies, broken parts and to top it off; official extra parts that doesn't fit the model. But then again, what does it help to be mad? Better to see it as a challenge and fix it. Of course, very impressive build, my hat's of to you :)
Finally a vid with tips to build a ship! I've had a rare Oyodo CVL kit [well at least here in Mexico is rare since people tend to avoid hybrid or experimental ships] , but since the amount of people that actually build ships is very reduced I haven't found someone that could give me basic tips for assembling a ship kit! Very useful vid.
Takao class heavy cruisers were a nasty handful and, the Japanese built handsome ships. This class built in the early thirties, were some of the most powerful heavy cruisers in the world. Half the class was sunk in a submarine ambush in the Palawan Pass just before the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Darter and Dace sank Atago and Maya and crippled Takao so badly she sat out the war in Singapore. Chokai was sunk at the Battle of Samar 3 days later. Beautiful build. I'm too old and nearsighted to build anymore, I just love the ships and their history.
This is a fine build of Vice Admiral Kurita Takeo's flagship. I own Italeri's re-packaged Aoshima's Atago, and plan to build each of her sister ships. I also love the tense music accompanying this build. Thank you, and take care.
This is really fantastic work. The amount of effort you put in to get it exactly how you wanted is inspiring (scratch-built mast, modified superstructure, moving the torpedo tubes, etc). Very excited to see it all painted up!
just found this channel and I am really glad i did, its incredible how sharp your attention to detail is, many people would likely be too afraid to fix issues made in the plastic molding for fear of ruining the model altogether but you just roll right on like its nothing- keep up the good work my guy
That is just wonderful work and thanks very much for showing us this and the techniques you used. I have two IJN ships in 1:700 for the Coral Sea group build, the heavy cruiser Kinugasa by Hasegawa and the aircraft carrier Zuikaku by Tamiya. Your videos are both inspirational and helpful. hi, i got into building a 1/700 scale ship now, because of you and few others on youtube, but i have two questions i wish to ask you: 1, what super glue (with the nozzle) are you using? My super glue sets really fast and often leave residue that blocks the details... 2, I'm currently building the funnel part on a IJN ship, the PE looks like __|__|__|__|__|__|__|__|__|__ that suppose to go around the funnel, they are so fragile and the attachment areas are just pins even with super glue they don't attach easily. Any Suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Hi, welcome to ship building club. 1. I use 2 super glues, Loctite 401 and Alaska 610. I use dental syringe needle as a nozzle for Alaska 610. If you can't get Alaska, you can use Axia 031 instead. I first apply Loctite 401 just little amount on the PE or on the ship, then place the PE where you want, because Loctite dries slower, you can adjust the position. then apply Alaska/Axia to glue the PE more firmly. 2. Gluing _/_/_ (jack stay) isn't easy. I glue the first and second branch on the Funnel first, then glue other branches one by one. It requires patience and fortitude. I also fail lot of time when I have to glue it. And it also falls off very easily. some people drill holes for each branches but it is not easy too.
@@EbroinSong Ill definitely look for those super glues! I finally got those jack stay on the funnel using your method! i.imgur.com/IZfehvh.jpg my lil ship is coming together! God i didn't appreciate just how small things are until i started building it, is probably because most footage and images i saw online is already zoomed in. Anyway thanks for the reply and help!
Thank you =) I stuck a syringe needle at the nozzle of the CA glue and then taped around multiple times where the nozzle and the needle met. the CA glue must be very watery, if it is not, the glue won't come out from the needle.
I am glad I helped you. And I tried it before but my camera couldn't stay focus on the small and thin parts like PE, I hope the camera do better next time.. or I could buy new lenses in future.
