while we havent had a game in a while, i agree that the community is far from dead, its kind of amazing how many people still have an interest in these games with how long its been since theres been new content.

The most important thing are the People, not necessarily the content creators, the majority of People does not make Videos or has an Reddit or Discord Account.

At the end of the skylanders Giants 10th anniversary video 2022 they said something right around the corner 2 years from now it’s 2024 hopefully they finally announce a new skylanders game but it could be just the 10th anniversary of trap team we can still hope

yeah, this means that activision can’t make them throw a game of their own into the bin so they have a lot more control over what they do

They can't make Skylanders games without Microsoft's approval. Microsoft owns ALL of Activision's IPs

With activision/Microsoft holding the rights to the skylanders ip, im really not seeing a continuation, as much as i would have loved to play a skylanders game again. :(
Toys to life as a concept is being overtaken ( the one piece is reaaal) by shitty cash grab mobile games. They really only focus on their biggest ips nowadays (wow,cod,diablo,halo etc.) and milk them to death. All of their latest games suck major balls.
Really sad that they toss the cool niche genres aside.
