I always found triple packs cool to get, not just for saving money. My brother used to play Skylanders up to around swap force or trap team until I got addicted, but when i find 3 Skylanders (ex. Pop fizz, s2 whirlwind, and s2 trigger happy) that go in a 3-pack in the collection, I would always have a spark of joy for whatever reason. Whenever they missed an opportunity for one (ex. We have sprocket and s2. stumpsmash, but not s2 sonic boom) I would get slightly offended that they didn’t. Also yes we did get that s2 sonic boom because she looked cool and I wanted her.

here’s what i think should’ve been done with older skylanders. what i think should’ve been done is whenever you (let’s say) purchase a sensei or imaginator crystal, you would be given a bonus free skylander from older games like SSA or giants. if you bought a double pack, you would get TWO older skylanders. buy a 3 pack, THREE older skylanders, and it goes on and on. now, i am well aware this would lose stores lots of potential money they could’ve made by selling the older figures separate, but i think it would’ve gotten rid of their older stocks more quickly. (however, eons elite skylanders would still be sold separately due to their much higher stats compared to a regular skylander.)
You know what would’ve been cool versions of 3-Packs? Something I would call a variety set. It would come with a new core, a repose, and a lightcore so you would get a good mix of new and old Edit: and maybe double packs with giants. And Legendary bouncer could come with the lone giant Edit 2: And maybe Trap Masters having a trap of the same element and senseis having a creation crystal of the same element too

I currently have a triple pack coming in the mail because my dad gave me enough money to buy enigma, a magic creation crystal and a triple pack. (He did this because my birthday is next week and it will come by the time of my birthday) Also the triple pack I bought was boomer, voodood and prism break because I needed boomer and voodood.
Only ever bought 1 triple pack because usually I had at least one character in most packs. The one I bought was the gill grunt, double trouble and flashwing one, got it dirt cheap since the harpoon thing on gill grunts figure was broken
A short story: My friend got the pack with hex, zap and dino rang. My friend told me whatever ones I could hear with me favourite skylander ( tree rex ) I could keep. I won all 3 battles but I only took hex. I had zap but I really wish I took Dino rang because I never could find him again.
I got two of the trap team trap packs on christmas when Trap Team just released (the earth, tech and magic one and the fire, air and undead one). For some reason I was obsessed with Traps when I was younger and not much the skylanders cores. Thank godness C.E.X allowed echo to cost me £4
The triple pack with flashwing double trouble and gill grunt were my first skylanders outside of the starter pack funny thing is they all have a broken piece or 2
Wham shell was the only skylander from the first game, who didn’t go in a triple pack with anyone, i remember at the time when i was having trouble finding him, and when i found him I screamed because i finally completed my ssa collection.
And then wham shell became my favourite, but he’s no longer my favourite until i found put how op ignitor was but he’s still my second favourite ssa character though.
I know I’ve gotten at least some of those triple packs but can’t quite remember which ones but so far the last triple pack I got was the one that included Bone Bash Roller Brawl, Tomb Buggy and Splatter Splasher and I got for like 20 USD so I think that’s a good deal

The first Skylanders stuff I ever got was Skylanders Giants for the Wii and the Stealth Elf, Wrecking Ball, and Sonic Boom triple pack.

I got that in one of my sister's birthday, she already had series 2 Stealth Elf so we gave her to my cousin while I non-stop played Terrafin that day.

Yep, Wham-Shell is quite the find, as her was the only single pack exclusive skylander off the entire line-up that did indeed make him quite rare. :)
