I like how he says it's a bit pricy, me being an advent collector of amiibo wishing they were 11.99 for older figures.
Not all figures are created equal. Even within the amiibo community you know that. The figure I was referencing is on the low-mid side of the rarity spectrum so $11.99 is a bit more than market price at the moment. In Skylanders (outside of rare chase variants) it's actually the newer figures that can command higher prices. The entire Imaginators line is more on par with what you're dealing with in amiibo-land. Nothing under $10. Majority in the $15-40 range. Some as high as $400 just for standard (non-variant) figures.
On vinted, a trading app we use here in belgium,france and the netherlands, i be paying €15 for some. I bought punk shock with her card for €40 and scratch with her card for €55 last week... *cries in broke*

My favorite part of this video is that you had to go INTO room to set up your camera, press record, then you exited your room, shut the door all the way, and entered carrying all of your stuff.
We don't talk about these things and how awkward it was when there were other hotels guests in the vicinity while I was trying to set this up.

Dude that's insane! I live in Nashville and go to the North Nashville Mckay's you mentioned all the time to hunt for skylanders. Some of my best finds are flip wreck, fling kong, lightcore bumble blast, and lightcore pop fizz.
No wonder I didn't find much. You got all the goods!

I'm glad you enjoyed going to mckay's, the store was always a gamble of which skylanders figures they have and in most cases recently for me if there were going to be any skylanders at all, since they've been selling almostout alot which lend to the recent price increase from $2-ish to $3-ish.
That's interesting. Good to know that they rotate through them though. I'll definitely be back whenever I pass through.

Honestly I don't think most robbers would know what to do with these random chunks of plastic.
@@sclmatttrue. But I would just assume people would break in if they just saw a bunch of boxes and bags they wouldn’t even know what’s in it and still steal them imo but than again you never really are in towns/city’s that have that kinda stuff happen around there.
This is cool, I lost about 80% of my old collection which was unfortunately thrown out, I have about 22 left. But this videos information should be useful for when I have the availability to rebuild my collection, to be fair it was my childhood so it’s worth it to me!

@@sclmatt Nothing stood out to me that'd be worth disliking. But I can tell you that the 'Matt's starter kit' was hilarious and such a creative idea, and teasing the mystery box is an excellent way to end it off. The little pixel car was a wonderful touch as well.
for a sec, i thought you stopped by gamers inc in orlando, because i went there a couple days ago and they said that someone asked to buy the whole lot they had at the time (its one basket-full, so not all that much, plus the figures range from like $3.99 to $9.99 depending on what it is) 😅😅😅 though they did just receive a spotlight and an echo for $70 each

A store near me called Game Grid has a lot of Skylanders. Next time I go get a picture of what they have and then see if you want any. If that's okay with you.

I was literally at the Frisco location today looking for Xbox one editions of Skylanders and there were none. Seeing that clip with trap team and swap force for the Xbox one feels like I’m being taunted.
I actually live in Tennessee, and Weigel’s and McKays as far as I know are actually exclusive to the state.
im probably going back to collecting them but I'm mostly going to rely on trap team and its traps and some dark skylanders

It's a smaller market than the figures for sure, but there is a market. The biggest problem is that I don't have them listed on the site at the moment.

Why are all female Skylander figures when I see them always broken like whenever I see a stealth elf or hex hat, even the ninja genie they’re always broken
The female characters tend to have significantly thinner appendages. So yes, their hands, arms, or even necks commonly break. It's just the way they're designed. I have dozens and dozens of damaged Chill, Stealth Elf, and Hex figures.
Good place to go located in Texas is called game x change the one I go to has HUGE big boxes and skylanders and games and the shelves

We sell all things Skylanders including the games. However, the PS4 games are in very high demand. We don't get them often, but when we do they are expensive and they sell very quickly.

Keep your eyes open, you never know where they might show up. Garage sales, flea markets, small town shops...Skylanders were very popular back in the day and spread all over the place.

Hey Any Good places in Nc?
The only places I know of I guarantee that sell Skylanders is the McKay's stores, since there are two locations in NC Greensboro and Winston-Salem though however the Greensboro location is rumored to move to a new Mebane location sometime in November or December of this year.
