What is the battery life for the both of them? Stuck between buying an iPad 10th Gen or iPad Air. 10th Gen is cheaper (and comes in yellow), but iPad Air has the Gen 2 Pencil compatibility. I'm a uni student that just needs the pencil for notetaking (not a design or anything heavy student), so I guess battery life I would want to prioritise.
Do you recommend the usb-c pencil for people who own the iPad 10th gen? We can’t use the second gen pencil so we’re stuck between the 1st and 3rd gen Apple Pencil.
Definitely agree! Why not just keep the Apple Pencil 1 compatible with all iPads bc it has pressure sensitivity. I was was with the usb-c until that point smh weird choice by apple.
Hi Thank you about this video. I just wonder if I wanna check the battery left about the pencil(USB-C), It is the only way to connect with I pad? or I just can check it on widget without any connection like fairing thing...??
Great review 👍🏼 1st time on your channel (subscribed) Glad I watched your video..I received an iPad as a Christmas present so I’ve recently started looking for a decent price on the Apple Gen 2 pencil. But now I have a much better understanding Why 😉 Ty!
I’m considering one as my Apple Pencil has died because it wouldn’t cone t to my iPad, therefore wouldn’t charge and therefore died. So £120 wasted 😢 @apple

Hey i'm in the same exact situation right now haha, what did you end up going with?
@lenny3004 i went with the 10th gen cause it was cheaper

10gen can't use it. U gotta use gen 1
Wtf 10gen can use it. @@TheAverageTechGuy
Gen 2 Pencil comes with a tip that is exactly the same as the USB-C version. Yours is missing this tip.
This one just seems like a step backwards

Yes!! Love those cases! I just got a blue one for my iPad 12.9 Gen5 iPad. I’m looking for a pencil and this was a good video.
Where is the link for the case?
bit.ly/3xy5uI8

I’m not seeing the link for the Apple Pencil paper light tip do you have that link?
Thanks! Answered all the questions i needed answered.
One more question? I have iPad 10th generation. Will Apple Pencil 2 work with my iPad?
No
@@TheAverageTechGuyhey bud I have the 2018 iPad Pro would this work! I see there on sale on Amazon for $115
Yes. It would. Apple says that it's for 10th generation :)
@@chuck176it would work

For the Apple gen 2, does it come with that tip?
Yes it does
Yes it does
I just got the gen2 at Best Buy and it didn’t come with any additional tips. The tip it came with is the standard tip (non paper)

I had to like it after he made me laugh saying skinny line fat line . Also very informative thank you
How about their latency difference??
Thanks for your video 👍
Does the USBC pencil have to be paired every time you use it or is it ‘remembered’ when you want to use it?
Thanks 🙏
i bought the apple pencil USB-C for pressure sensitivity only just to find out it DOESNT have pressure sensitivity 😭
I would buy the usb if it wirelessly paired and charged
The usb c one will work with lightning iPads - if you have the usb c to lightning adapter. Out of the box? Nope

Wow! So if theres no usb-c conmected to the new apple pen, u cant write.
If you call the cheaper and worse version of the apple pencil, “Technically Gen 3” Imma leave your review video with a dislike. Sorry bout that.
And that's your business, but I thinkni mentioned a step backwards as well.
It literally would be considered the 3rd generation, why r u upset
Fr it’s technically gen 3
