Thanks man, hope it was helpful! I have done players i play with that actually one this out to be.. a couple switched to gen3 paddles and have had awesome success at reducing tennis elbow pain
Do the S and the V have a noticeable difference in how well you can get two hands on the handle? They’re both listed at 5.5, but the angle of the flare looks a bit different.
@@PickleballMedicine Preferred swing weight would be 110 or less, but you and John Kew have brought to light that there's a way to calculate how fast or how easy a paddle is to use in your hand (You = Manueverability Score / John Kew = Hand Speed Index). That has become something I'm paying closer attention to. So, swing weight is a huge factor but you can have a paddle have slightly higher swing weight but be faster in the hands because of it's balance point. For instance my B&B Fatboy is faster in the hands than my Gruvn Lazr-16S even though the Gruvn has a lower swing weight.
That's a good question... maybe it's time I add it! I started doing the manuverability score calculations somewhat recently, so I should probably go back and insert that data column into the chart. Thanks for pointing that out!
Justin cheating on me with this review🤣 JK great review, we virtually had the exact same thoughts. I heard someone say this was a power paddle and just could not remotely see that. Glad I wasn't the only one!
Yeah, we are starting the Pickleball Medicine Podcast here shortly.. he was thinking it would just be easiest for him to do it on whatever day you guys were previously doing it, so he wouldn't have to rearrange his schedule... 😅 Yeah man, I had a similar thought process for these.. definitely could not see myself recommending these for people seeking power paddles!
@@PickleballPursuit hmmm, just watched Kew’s review on these where he noticed after a break in period, his did get a bit hotter and was leaning towards the power side of the Bantams.
Hmm, good question.. Pulse V has the bigger sweet spot and stability for sure, and the J2Ti has a little bit of a different feel, but still on the plush side and a bit more reach, and the J2Ti is also a bit less expensive. The look of the two paddles is obviously different, too, which could play into a person's preferences!
Great review. I have tried different paddles, and keep coming back to pickelball apes. Looks like I know what my next paddle will be!
How do they compare with the 16mm mach 2 forza?
Awesome breakdown! Definitely got me thinking of getting the V for its vibration dampening due to my tennis elbow issues

I’m so exited about these paddles! Thank you for posting this review ahead of the release!
The Pulse V seems like an extremely impressive paddle. Thanks for the awesome review.
Another great content and review of the Pulse series Dustin, I have the OG Pro Line Energy liked it, I probably would go for the Pulse E
That Pulse V might be the next wide body that jumps off the shelves
That's my prediction! We will see what happens, haha
Great review! How is the power and pop compared to the monarch all court?
How does the Pulse S compare to the Nexus Prostar?

Pickleball Apes love the name. Pulse S looks like a winning formula for my game.
The Pulse V is ectremely interesting, but wish the swing weight was a little lower.
Interesting, what's your preffered swing weight??

Why doesn't your Paddle Spreadhseet/Database include a column for your "Manuverability Score"?

Vibration dampening sounds awesome!
Some people like a lot of feedback, but I think most people prefer that more smooth feel!

Thoughts on the Pulse V vs a Honolulu J2Ti?

@@PickleballMedicineplus the j2ti is not foam edge technology like Apes
@@PickleballMedicine which one feels to have longer dwell time between J2Ti and Pulse V?
Yeah that's true, very different construction on those two, in a big way!
Hmm, that's a good question, too. I would need to hit them side by side to really eliminate any recency bais, but I would say the Pulse does.
pulse V :)
