    Thank you for posting this… I’ve wanted to remove the arms from my Plant 3.0 to fit inside of a cabinet I bought second hand, but didn’t see any supported way to get the arms out… being as this is a condoned method to modify them, I will try more assertively next time!!

      Yep, go for it! The cap on the end of the LED may come off when you remove the arm, but don't worry, that's normal! You can just click the cap back into place. 👍

    Make sure that you use the transformer that comes with the new Fluval Light. The old one is 13v new one is 24v

    Got a question? What would be the best location to stick the wave maker in the 13g Aquarium?

    • @fluval
      @fluval  8 месяцев назад +1

      We recommend positioning a wave maker or circulation pump in an area of low flow! In ours, for example, the pump is located diagonally across the tank from the output nozzles, pointing in the opposite direction.

    Are these 2 tanks the same size/same outer dimensions? I can see the capacity is different but is that just because of the extra equipment/space in the end compartment of the Evo? Thanks!

    • @fluval
      @fluval  2 месяца назад

      Hi there! Both tanks have the same outer dimensions, except for the height - the Spec 16 is a couple of inches taller than the Evo 13! 👍

    Does the fluval aquasky 12w also work in the lid, seems to be the same width as these other two lights?

    • @fluval
      @fluval  23 дня назад

      Yes! The Aquasky is just a bit narrower than Plant and Marine LEDs.

    Hi, does the plant 3.0 LED have a better lifespan than the stock light. In 15myhs we’ve had 3 no. 1st after 3mths and then 2nd two after about 6mths ( don’t completely switch off which for a bedroom aquarium is unacceptable.

    can you illustrate the types of plants that can be grown with each respective light? briefly is fine...however being a new aquarium person ...why would I change them?

    • @fluval
      @fluval  6 месяцев назад

      Hi there! The stock light is suitable for plants requiring low and medium light levels - for example, Anubias, Bolbitis, Cryptocoryne, Microsorum, Vallisneria, etc. However, with the upgraded LED, almost every plant species can be grown, including carpeting and red plants, which generally require much more light! 🌿

    If you would like to have the lights sit flush while keeping one arm in there to fill the space pull the arm off flip it upside down and put it back in the light its flush on the top instead of being angled

    Anyway to upgrade the light for the flex 9g?

    • @fluval
      @fluval  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there! There's no way to upgrade the lighting of Flex aquariums without modifying or removing the lid. If you do remove the lid, the Plant 3.0 Nano LED is a great choice: fluvalaquatics.com/us/shop/product/plant-3-0-nano
