I tried this back you skipped over the hardest part which was the road :(
Is the key here to wait for each stage to dry before going to the next or is this actually painted all in sequence without pauses for drying? I try to follow along but I always seem to find my colors blend too much and don't stick out distinctly from one another. 😅
Umm yes actually. Well, it depends. Sometimes you actually want the colours to blend slightly, for example, when you are painting the background, you want there to be gradual shift of colours rather than an immediate one, but during layerings, you definitely want to let the previous paint dry.
Layering in the sense, when you apply lighter shades of similar colour on top to give a more realistic feel. For example, while painting the leaves of a tree, first we apply the darkest green, then a lighter shade of top of that, and eventually, the lightest. What it does is, it makes it seem like some leaves are in front which is why they are lighter, while those in the back are darker because of the shadow. In these cases, if you end up somehow blending the colours, then it wouldn't have the desired effect, and it might end up looking messy.

I'm pretty sure it was a mix of white, crimson red and burnt sienna

From the looks of it burnt Amber just lightened a bit ..but then I’m not sure the start of the trees are the same I think ..anyone else have any idea 💡
Mix dark pink/red,brown and white (i got the same exact colour)
