    This photo was taken only a week ago and already most trees have lost all their leaves. I hope you enjoy this easy watercolor autumn country road painting!

    Really pretty painting. Nice to see how you captured the autumn leaves. I wish the far tree didn’t create a tangent with the fence post and looks to be growing out of the top of the post.

    I had so much fun watching the process of painting the painting as you kept pointing out. I love the road and the big tree filled with leaves. I also love the fence. Great composition all together and great colors. I want to walk down that street!

    Good point about the posts and their perspective. I would not have thought about it until too late - lol! And yes, that second layer of colour I like a lot - gives more depth to the scene, grounds it. And as always, love it!

    Julia I absolutely love this painting!!! You make the most beautiful trees. I’m still working on mine and I’m hoping it turns out. Thank you for sharing and adding your knowledge and teaching techniques. Glad you got to go to Europe and I’m sure you enjoyed yourself. Looking forward to seeing your next tutorial 😊💜🎨

    This looks so beautiful. I just got through mangling a tree in a fall painting I was doing in acrylic. I've never used watercolors. And after watching this I am wondering if it would be easier than acrylics to make a beautiful realistic painting.

    Thank you; I tried this today and really enjoyed it. Well, I watched your video and then tried it and tried to remember what you said while I painted, lol. I didn't want to move my laptop to the art room because I'm always afraid i'll spill something on it.

    I just found you and I absolutely love how you paint while explaining what you are doing. I love fall and you have captured it perfectly. The only thing that bothers me is the small leafless tree looks like it’s sticking out of the first fence post. Please don’t fuss, it’s just how I see it. LOL

    Absolutely love the painting! And, explaining your thought process as you are painting. That helps a great for someone like me who is petrified at the thought of laying down watercolor. Because you have explained it so well, I am going to give it a shot. But I do have a question and see how you or others react to it. In the painting, it seems like a clear day but there are no shadows. Am I wrong in thinking like that?

    • @JuliaLisArt
      @JuliaLisArt  Год назад

      I don't have the original photo in front of me but from what I remember, the sky was pretty washed out in the photograph because I was pointing it at a setting sun. Maybe that has something to do with it?
