    18:55 The difference between burnup and burndown is:
    The burnup display the number of story points accomplished in a timeframe, plus, the scope added. To have a forecast of the project and also check our predictability.
    The burndown is mostly used for a sprint. Its goal to display how many story points have we burnt during the sprint and compare with the predictive line and adjust on.

    Brundown chart gives sprint level report where as burnup chart gives project level report

    Good questions about SCRUM, but the Burn up and Burn down mentioned were incorrect. Burn up refers to the amount of work completed, and Burn down refers to the amount of work remained to complete the project and it is known as early warning indicator.

    As per my understanding PBI is an activity bcoz it works as enabler for upcoming sprint where team is involve in pre readiness for next sprint.Without PBI activity the whole sprint will be at risk.

    As agilists, we are discouraged to use word grooming, which has negative connotations.

    I think this answer was not clear about difference between event and activity at 14:30.
    Scrum event are formal, have a clear goal, specific participants, timeboxed and iterative.
    Scrum activities have informal, the participants are variants and their endgoal is flexible.
    Why PBR is not Scrum events because it is not mandatory nor required if the PB is DEEP. Plus, its goal, participant, timebox can be flexible depends on each sprint needs.

    The Job of scrum master is for experienced IT professionals or else individuals will be totally dependent on subordinates as they do not past development exposure or related IT process experience.

    I think few answers need correction... metrics, PBI requirement.. otherwise Amit did absolutely well. His confidence is superb, though he is non IT, just nailed it

    Can anyone explain difference between backlog refinement and backlog grooming..are they the same ? And why is not an event ?

    • @CareersTalk
      @CareersTalk  7 месяцев назад

      We already explained in detail

    • @shankargunde9135
      @shankargunde9135 7 месяцев назад

      Let me try answering it
      Refinement and grooming are one and the same its just grooming is an negative connotation
      Scrum Events are time boxed where as refinement is an ongoing process and optional as well not everyone from scrum team is needed in it
      Hope i have answered your question.
      Pardon my knowledge if i have miscommunicated anything!!

      Hi @@CareersTalk ; can you explain the correct difference pls ?

    • @1974avinash
      @1974avinash 7 месяцев назад +1

      @sakthivelnarayanan6646
      My understanding is:
      A burn-down chart shows the amount of work remaining on a project (the remaining effort), whereas a burn-up chart shows how much work has been completed and the total scope of the project.
      Simply put:
      Burn down = yet to be done.
      Burn up = work done.

    • @MrKrishkhanna

      I think it could have been explained more effectively by stating time and work done on x and y axis respectively
