In general scrum creator points out that it is for improving the happiness of the team, so its about reflecting on how can we make overall work more sustainable fun.
Thanks for explaining , I am looking to learn about how scrum master gain profit by influencing scrum in terms of ROI, means how organizations benefitted in terms of ROI thru scrum and hiring scrum master :)
This can be reflected in any manager / leader role, why can't people just work without leader , if they can than no value leader brings in, if leader make them work better as team that's the ROI of a leader. We need to see what is happening right now and what happens when we bring a leader to lead the team , you may call the leader Scrum Master if scrum is followed.
@@SaketBansal Thanks for your quick response, can you please elaborate this ROI( I meant proper matrix after scrum introduced or matured agile/scrum env) thing in any video and if any video is there can you share the link to understand in depth it will be great to explain to any team or organzation or in interviews.

Hello Saket, Please provide your opinion /solution to given case study. Low motivation of the Scrum Team You recently joined an existing team. As their Scrum Master, you quickly notice that motivation is low. There is no drive to improve. Several members have told you in private that they have been unhappy with progress for a long time now. They are also unhappy with the quality of the codebase and the level of collaboration within the team. These issues are never raised during 15-min Sprint Retrospectives, however. People mostly talk about what went well and give each other small compliments. But no actionable improvements are identified. The team is resisting to spend more time on the Sprint Retrospective, as they feel it is a waste of time. If this is happening right in front of you, what would you do? How would you respond?
I make it visible, mean make sure what you see other team members also see it, and 15 min retro is too less so that is clear one improvement. So convert feeling in facts, make facts seen by all and increase the length of retro so we can do some solution finding in it.
As a Scrum Master of a new team 10 members which are very high performing team using waterfall but now they are transitioning to agile which is very new to them how to approach towards them before their first sprint planning and they have 10 days to start with the same ?
I wouls say its a matter of conversation and education. Conversation about what we are missing on doing large batch size based development and how can one do small batch size development (Education). So you facilitate conversation on what is missing right now and educate how that missing thing can be achieved by different way of working.
Hello Saket, Please provide your opinion /solution to given case study. The company that you work for is about to release a highly anticipated product. A large marketing-campaign will support the release, further increasing the pressure. In order to include all the promised functionality, the Product Owner has decided to temporarily suspend testing from the ‘Definition of Done’. The Development Team objects that this will cause technical debt. To address this worry, the Product Owner and the Development Team decide to add a placeholder-item (‘Perform testing’) on the Product Backlog. What would you do? What questions would you ask? How does this case connect to the Scrum Values? What would be a good step forward?"
We need to have agreement on how to deal with risk of removing items for DoD and clear quantification of UnDone work is needed in backlog, the late discovery of issues can create lots of rework.
Even after empathizing what to do if a product owner is so aggressive and quickly goes to escalation mode (even after multiple one one meetings and made them to understand?)
Soon people will stop working with him, and we have see such leaders suffering in their professional growth , in todays Knowledge Industry we work well by respecting and listening others. So if I am SM my goal is to help this PO to be a better leader, if i can't do i also give up and stay away, till the time i can't avoid him, i make working agreements and stick to them only.
Hi Saket, How are you. I follow your videos for Scrum master questions. Recently I faced a question in interview, "What was my worst day as a Scrum master, and how did I handle it". I do not have much working experience as a Scrum master, and so I could not think of a proper answer for this question and wondered what could have been the worst day of a Scrum master so that I can give a proper answer to this question, as a result I could not give answer to the question. Could you please help me frame a proper answer to this question
This is based on person attitude for life, like some may remember their worse day of life and many when asked what was your worse day of life they get clue less , and say i can't find it ... or may be it is yet to come. in case someone ask me, i will say may be it is yet to come, yes i face challenge. Think from your generic worse day and than may be you can make similar explanation for scrum master job. I will say...It is Yet to come and wait for reaction
What I feel is the 3-4 mins before i say you can bring your example I shared examples of my team and retrospective. If that is not enough, maybe we can discuss about it more. Let me know specifically what kind of example you are looking for?
In general IT operation may not have direct use of Scrum , but at the same time Scrum has become like a foundational knowledge to work management, so I feel doing CSM is good idea and after that, you can explore something on Kanban, we do certification on scrum and Kanban both. Start with CSM and here you can find more details of our upcoming program : www.izenbridge.com/certified-scrum-master/

Hi Saket, have you published any video which explain how the estimation should be done in real time scenario ?
We spend sometime talking about this topic in this video : ruclips.net/video/GO4gN8hmoKE/видео.html
you may find this useful.
The set of questions were tricky even for Saketh
I am a first time attendee to the Scrum interview, how should I prepare for it?
Here I shared some ideas about the same : ruclips.net/video/qwfiWdLD-M8/видео.html

I was asked how do you measure/validate that your team is matured? I told using agile tool. Is there any better answer?
You can give example or reference of Sportify Health Check tool : engineering.atspotify.com/2014/09/squad-health-check-model/
