    I needed it.
    For my 7th grade daughter
    We chose the convenience and my daughter really didn’t like the brick and mortar school
    She was only a number she really wasn’t learning that much and being bullied

    My daughter is being bullied, she's in 4th grade. I tried everything to help her with her confidence but with no use. She's a shy kid, and public schools are not for shy kids

      I really hate to hear this. I am so sorry. As a parent I know you want what's best for your child and this is part of the reason I chose homeschool. Not bullying issues, but for the choice to avoid having my children bombarded with false labels while impressionable

My husband works and I am planning to work remotely as a coder but neither of us trusts public schools for safety reasons and we do not appreciate the poor behavior of many students as they teach my daughter things against our values. At least for these formative years I want a controlled home environment

    My son isn't but 2 years old. But looking ahead into different options! My cousin told me about this program after her son used this program.
    I see it as a way for my son to learn without the disruption of a classroom of 30-50 children, and we all know public school is a war zone for bullies, harassment, drugs, and violence. I will not subject my son to this, especially being online at home is a much more peaceful, and safer alternative! With this also, I can be more interactive with his curriculum and decide what he is being taught

    • @KathrynMay
      @KathrynMay  Год назад

      Hey!! Yes I agree it’s much more peaceful, but you still don’t really get to choose the curriculum like a traditional homeschool family would. The curriculum is still common core and has some things I don’t agree with. I use it as teachable moments.

    Hello!! I’m a 9th grader who wants to switch to online school, I love learning but I have bad social anxiety (even though I love socializing), I feel like I’m not really learning anything in in person public school , and the way in person school works has been really stressful and only made me unmotivated and stressed.. so I’ve been trying to look into better options, and I think online school is the best option for me. My parents don’t want me to do online school because they think it will make my social anxiety worse. I’ve been doing a lot of research and it all shows that online school will make it better (I also know personally it will make it better because that’s what happened during the pandemic), do you have any recommendations on how I could convince my parents to let me switch to online school?
