Two missing ones I thought of: the Deflector, which is a unique minigun that only giant MvM robots can use, and the vintage Ban Hammer, which is a joke item rumored to exist in Gabe Newell's personal inventory.
You probably see so many of them for a few reasons 1) those who are fortunate (or rich) enough to own a Golden Pan will almost always use it in every single one of their loadouts, and will use it for melee kills at every opportunity. 2) if someone using a golden pan dies, it is dropped on the ground, where it will almost certainly be picked up by another player immediately. 3) most community servers have commands that let you give yourself any item you want, which is why you see so many new players using them on these servers.

I still own a set of Voodoo-Cursed items and a Pile of Curses from old Halloween updates. It's a shame they are not tradable though. Also you didn't mention craftable items that were not meant to be craftable. Like 2011 Summer Set (Summer Hat, Lucky No. 42, Flip-Flops). They were available for purchase for a limited time, which already makes them quite rare, but since all Mann Co purchases are uncraftables, only bugged ones became craftable.
You forgot some weapon skins have a possibility to have rare patterns and crests like the Warhawk Flamethrower which has a 5% chance to have a pink balloonicorn
I threw away some dumb shit when I was 13 lol. I wasn’t exactly ballin out but I had a couple promo items and some cool vintage stuff back then. One of the only relics of that era that I still have is my black rose, it’s untradeable, but I threw a professional kill streak kit on it for real cheap just for fun a couple months ago
You should've mentioned more details for some of em, e.x. You should've mentioned that you can't get Saxxy anymore since Valve stopped giving them away or having Saxxy awards event. Also the strange camera melee is slightly less rare then Saxxy but still rare and is awarded for lesser achievements in Saxxy awards(I don't remember if it was participation price or like 2nd 3rd place award but it doesn't matter since you can't get more of em, also should've mentioned they used to be unique quality and not strange one so you couldn't even level up your Saxxy at one point)
Mentioning the Cheater's Lament still makes me mad because I genuinely wanted to get one by not abusing the guarunteed unusal unbox thing a couple of years back. I will never not be upset about how the people who consciously picked not to open the crates got NOTHING for it while those who did got to sell 1 unusual and keep all of their others.
@@SpaceGuyOnline Ok, that is true. But rewarding the people who specifically opted to not use the glitch with literally nothing, while awarding the people who did with unusuals, one of which they could sell to other people, is still something I disagree with. I would have liked a cheater's lament, but if Valve would prefer not to release another wave of them, that's fine. Not giving the people who didn't use the glitch anything at all seems like a mistake that incentivizes abusing these things when they happen. Or maybe I'm just butt-hurt. Also, good video. There were some things I actually didn't know about in the later tiers when I thought I would know almost all of the obscure trading stuff.
I played tf2 after orange box release for several years. Last time I played it when the robots was added to the game. What chances that I still have some rare item in my inventory if I will install the game again?

I feel the unsplit equalizer is too low down on the list, since it's basically just "I've played the game since this update" rather than "I've browsed wiki for 200 hours"
Just a clarification: the Finder's Fee came out -after- the support unusuals, as people kept submitting minor bug reports and asking for really expensive unusuals

why did they remove the spells? those were cool. in fact, it seems they removed all the cool shit before i started playing. wish i started earlier so i could have seen all the cool shit for myself
Was that intro an American Psycho parody? If so I'm all for it
I still own a set of Voodoo-Cursed items and a Pile of Curses from old Halloween updates.
And also Leopard Printed, where it has a small chance (I have no idea how much) to be white and grey.
@@mushedups5404 Yeah its a shame Valve stopped with skins. Some are just so unique and deserves to be talked about. Sadly not many knows about this.
@@Fatsaver My friend has the rare leopard printed one, that's how i know about them lol
11:12, I take it he's read THAT greentext lmao
What is THAT greentext I need to know
@@wuhoh5274 search "minecraft greentext", it has the linked image named "enderman.jpg" (My replies keep getting deleted/hidden)
@@chronicclub Alright thanks
Dammit it isn't about the freezie from smash bros
Mentioning the Cheater's Lament still makes me mad because I genuinely wanted to get one by not abusing the guarunteed unusal unbox thing a couple of years back. I will never not be upset about how the people who consciously picked not to open the crates got NOTHING for it while those who did got to sell 1 unusual and keep all of their others.
Ok but one is installing and using an external client not endorsed or wanted by Valve
While the other was a bug Valve themselves made internally
I remember seeing a guy with the HOUWAR and just called it a cursed hat, didn't think of price or anything and he actually explained people would pay heavily for it and I asked "why.." and that gave me an explanation on how I discovered it..
I feel the unsplit equalizer is too low down on the list, since it's basically just "I've played the game since this update" rather than "I've browsed wiki for 200 hours"
Time to start trying to find some of these more expensive hats in MvM to sell
A painted cowmanglwr sold a few months ago gor several golden pans, and a Halloween effect misc.
I was recently playing mvm Mann up and I found someone with the dueling hat the more I think about it the more insane I think it is
31:10 the overdose was in the meet the medic bundle bucket. Found in source leak and exally as the modlel there
My man keeps pickin all of the banger OFF tracks there aren't gonna be any left-
to be fair every OFF track is a banger so he still has alot to go through
the american psycho reference sfm at the beginning is so good! 10/10
Love the American Psycho at the beginning!
I bought map stamps within 2 hours of the Australian Christmas update, and my World Traveler's Hat is craftable. Apparently 160 of them exist.
Also apparently the Top Notch has a increase of 20% damage taken...
Some of these were gated behind such restrictive promotions, its a wonder they went thru the trouble at all.
The last one was by FAR the most interesting. I enjoyed this video
Still love how people keep using the Subnautica Soundtrack 👍
Shit , that’s hella nice parody on an American Physcho in da start :O)
i'm a bit surprised strange uniques weren't mentioned, at least explicitly rather than being passively mentioned when talking about non-normal normals
Just a clarification: the Finder's Fee came out -after- the support unusuals, as people kept submitting minor bug reports and asking for really expensive unusuals
Wish I could’ve gotten an unusual Ellis cap
Now there is a pretty meme, exquisite
new item. what do you think?
@@fritzshelton8389 yeah it is nice
American Psycho at the beggining is absolutely class...so creative
yume nikki and OFF music!!
I like the mini stories space
Fun fact, i have a Unusual Haunted metal! Not tradable tho…
11:22 Ok, that rant came out of nowhere. You ok?
my own iceberg would be all spicicles
