Holy shit, imagine my surprise when I get on the Internet to see how to fix my aux jack and this video has a very similar console to mine... Wait, no that's the same year, make, and model! Thank you for making this video.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I just fixed the aux in my 2010 corolla in less than 10 min thanks to you. I saved about $250 doing this myself and it was super simple!!
My car had the same problem. I used your video today. It took me 10-15minutes to change out the Aux. I am no mechanic but it was easy and step by step. Now I can use hands free talking in the car. Thanks I am very grateful.
I bought the piece online on amazon for $20 and I used this video to install it and it saved me a lot of money. The process only took less than 10 minutes! Thank you
Thanks bro. I ordered the part on Amazon for like $16. Followed yer directions, and was done literally within 5 minutes. Usually what takes me the longest is trying not to break stuff ,cuz don’t know how it’s attached, . Since I saw how u did it I just yanked all the panels off. Super simple.
I know I'm late to this video, but save your money! I just repaired the Aux in my highlander with the same issue sooo many Toyotas have. All you have to do is solder 2 pins together and boom, permanently fixed. Super easy, even with 0 experience like me. Just do some research, once you open up the Aux, it's pins 8 and 9 that need to go together to make the radio think there is a cord permanently plugged it. Spend 5 bucks on an iron and saved 100 on a new port. Hopefully this helps.
Thanks! I just changed my AUX port (for my 2010 Corolla) using your video as a guide. It worked perfectly! Thanks again. I will recommend your channel on my FB page.
Thank you so much for this video! I only needed to replace my aux jack with one I got on Amazon for $25. I was having trouble prying the plastic panels out, so on a whim, I just popped off the old aux jack cover, stuck a flathead screwdriver in the slot, and pulled it right out! Then I just unplugged the cable and plugged it into the new aux jack, pushed it back in, and it works like a charm!
Thanks for this video. I applied the same procedure to my 2010 Toyota Corolla it the process was smooth. It saved me a couple of dollars. My Toyota dealer was selling the part for $135 so I got it on Amazon for $65. There are many videos out there showing how to repair the aux jack but I didn't have time for that. Your video is very informational.
Thanks man. I watched your video and it took me literally 3 minutes to pull thr old one out and put the new one in. It's was ridiculously easy. Thanks a million. I got my music back!
Thank you Diego for the helpful video. I think it would also be a good idea to install the aux port with the power off to avoid shorting a fuse. I've always taken this precaution when doing any electrical work on my vehicle. Looking forward to your next video!
Thank you for posting the disassembly! I ended up taking the Aux jack and resoldering, but doing this repair ended up saving me about 100 bucks for the new part and even more if I had someone else do it. Thank you!
My problem is also on a 2009 Toyoto Corolla. Just wondering if there is an issue with them. Mine disconnects every time I go over a bump. Wondering if its the wires and not the actual part. What do you think? This is very helpful.
The part has a defect and they burn out pretty easy. I am on my 2nd one now. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime, cheap parts and this guy for showing me how to install it
I appreciate your video brother. It help me a lot. My wife broke the jack in the auxiliary port . This video showed me how to access it. I was able to dissemble the auxiliary piece and use a tiny screwdriver that repairs glasses to lodge the broken piece out. I installed it back together and it works like a charm. Thanks.
Thanks for this! This was the first video that came up on Google and I just happen to have a 2009 Toyota Corolla! Gonna do this as soon as the part comes in 👍
had more resistance than I was comfortable popping off the part of the console with the aux port but still able to replace the aux port with that section still in place. you don't even need the spoon if you start from the top of the light gray bits. thanks for the video
Thanks so much for the awesome video. I happen to have the same exact car and year so it made it super easy for me to install. Got my aux port part on Amazon, much cheaper than Toyota and it is an authentic Toyota part. Around $65. Well worth it considering I installed it for free thanks to you 😄Now I can listen to my music again 🎼 Thanks again !!!!
Good video. Saved a lot of time. Also I was able to reach and pop out the port from behind without having to unscrew and pop out the panel the suc port sits in. Thank you for the upload!
My Dad and I just followed your video and it went perfectly! Thanks for the great video and for helping me save lots of money, it's greatly appreciated!
Awesome demonstration man. Thank you. Verry simple and well explained. May I asked how you ordered that particular part? my aux for my 2010 corolla died recently
Hi Diego, Your tutorial is much simpler than others I've seen. I'm guessing you ordered it through the Toyota dealer. How much was it? (I'm watching your video on silent at work) I want to install it myself and I'd like as many details as possible. Thank you!
I'm not sure if my aux port is broken but my car will not switch to aux even when I press the "disc-aux" button or when I press the "modes" button on the steering wheel. The fuses also seem to be fine.
Hello. My Aux jack worked well on my Mercedes C Class. Lately, it's desplay says "No Devices" and "No Files". No matter how many times I connect and disconnect, eject and put USB on, etc, it does not fix. Any suggestions?
No wonder why there's a hole in that piece of trim. It's where the audio jack is supposed to go!! 2010 Toyota Corolla is my first ever car, and I'm learning how to maintain it. Looks like I'm gonna need to order one of these. Sheesh. Previous owners took the whole piece out of the car.

I got mine from a scion Tc in a junk yard. Dealer should have it - part# 86190-02010.
I am curious to know if many of the corolla's around these years of 2009 2010 are known to have this issue?

Brittanni Burgess I got mine on eBay for $20
make sure you turn off the key and disconnect the battery, because you just unplugged the air bag light, that can possibly stay on if you reconnect
Is it the same procedure for a manual?
