The AC is nice, but it isn't going to do much good without a solar system and batteries. From the brief shot of the top deck, it doesn't even look solar ready. Or at least, I didn't notice any solar panel plug ins. Does it have an off grid power system, such as inverters and batteries? What size are the tanks? Gray, Black, and Fresh water tanks.
Hey Clint, thanks for your feedback! They are built to order, so this particular customer decided they would use their own generator if they wanted to run their 110v appliances. There are solar ready options available, however. They do come standard with an auto battery charger, two batteries, and a 12v system for lights and water pump. The cooktop and water heater are both gas. Black/gray tank is 30 gallons and the fresh water system is 20 gallons.
They are built to order by Catamaran Cruisers, so it depends on options. All loaded out with the trailer and an outboard, usually around $130k. Feel free to contact the factory directly for more details.
I also built my own. Made it from.a 24ft pontoon boat stripped down to the frame and pontoons. Then new marine grade plywood for a deck, 4x4" posts at the corners, And used steel studs attached to 4" thick Styrofoam blocks.4x8 sheets and slid them down into the channels like puzzle pieces. then normal roof framing, 1/2 inch plywood subroof, Torch down rolls of roofing then 2 layers of tropical to repel 90% heat, Interior was a full bathroom 5'x7'4" with a full tub/shower combo, toilet, and an 18" sink Kitchen was a normal stainless sink.6" deep, 2 upper cabinets, 2 base cabinets and a sink basin. Wiring was all 15 amp but the fridge and 5000 btu window AC were on separate 20 amp breakers. Hot water came from a tankless water heater. 60 amp breaker for that one! I also had 15 55 gallon drums under the deck for extra flotation. Interior walls were 1/4 inch drywall, Exterior was smart siding. Big enough for me and my medium size dog. Went through the eye of hurricane Irma with minimal damage!!! Some glasses.broke when they fell out of the cabinet and got a little scrapped up from rubbing on the dock. I added the plumbing once I put it on land. I had grey water (only from both sinks going into the marina not the toilet or shower. That was stored in a 55 gallon drum under the bathroom that had to be pumped outweekley. Nada queen size bed in there on the opposite end of the bathroom with kitchen and dining table in the middle. Total cost was 11,000 to build but today it would cost 20k easily to build.
I like them but can’t wait for this white and gray blah trend to die. It’s so depressing and feels like you’re in a dentist office while on vacation. I miss the old Lil’ Hobos with wood and color.
Where can I buy this
That is very cool.
What are actual dimensions?
Its sweet
