Very impressive for such nominal displacement. Stays flat to the road even mid corner. It'd be interesting to see how it does if it had another 100hp...and a decent set of tires like yoko A032 or A048. Very interesting indeed.
i dont think you understand the meaning of this car by asking another 100hp.. to the tyres, maybe get a decent driver b4 changing the pirellis, they already do the job quite good for that low weight-hp
the reason it cant do below 7:30 is simple its doesn't have 250kph -300kph+ range which alot super hyper car can easily breeze thru the final 3 section of the course at 300kph+ speed
But other cars dont have this weight, you cant have all, with a few exceptions like Mclaren F1. I dont think you can save 34 seconds only with better max speed. NSX-R with "low" hp too make good time with 7:56, but with 240hp 8' is very nice time, but i expecting better time.
I wish alfa did a GTA version with about 280-300HP and a more track focussed suspension and braking setup with even less weight authough i have no idea how they could manage that.
Still impressive, hitting 248 kpm/155 mph. Agree DH92, seems driver a bit tentative with non power assist and first-time out. I think this car does sub 8:00 minutes, easy after a few runs. Maybe a 7:55-7:58 on a perfect day. For $72,000, with looks that simply have no equal at the moment or rarity (1-500 in USA, 40 in Australia, 100 in Europe) the Launch edition is destined to be a collectors item shortly.
+rasvial Not sure where you got HALTING producting as we are now in 2016 and they have introduced the Spider convertible and another "batch" so to say to US shores. Granted, the languishing sales of these cars is both good and bad. Fast sales would have indicated a car that was either too cheap or too commercially appealable. Too slow, that means that either the car is overpriced (which it is not) or that its cross-appeal is quite limited (which it is) much like the entire lineup of Lotus. I think the 4C continues to struggle to sell all 500 launch cars for another 2 years. Even then, many are already 1 owner cars being resold much like a Lotus Elise (often with 5-10 owners in 10 years). This car is 10x more comfortable than my former Lotus Elise and far more rare overall (at least now).As long as Alfa does not produce a SUPER 4C with more horses and lower weight, better appointments inside, the 4C should remain a collectible car. How many have been crashed, I know of at least 3 launch editions in car heaven. That's 497 left in the USA. 50 or so in Australia and another 150 in Europe.
+ordnas1234 It's a manual rack. You hold onto it and point it where you want- no hydraulic cushion. It's not nervous at all if you're not. This is from someone who's driven it, not read about it
mystic1754 Who know's? With the right driver and can't put down GM on how they're making their cars handle so good. The GT-R was only 4 sec slower than the P1.
Francesco Okei I figure you really sat down and brainstormed to come up with a comment like "your mother is junk". You probably burned some of your few remaining brain cells to come up with that amazing reply. You stated that to a 63 year old man who lost his mother several years ago. I imagine you would have trouble sleeping with yourself at night but the lack of brain cells and that you probably still sleep with your own mother most likely makes up for that.
this is a car that with some modifications can be the best one on his category. 1-Headlights(ugly.urgent modification) 2-Front(can be better.like the 8C) 3-Needs 100HP more(350 HP will be great)
This thing tuned upto about 350HP and an even more track focused suspension setup should be absolutely unstoppable.
This is mad. So good to see Alfa Romeo back to its sporting heritage - now there's the looks AND the performance. Amazing.
248 kph is a pretty topspeed on the straight for 240 hp car.
You can see and hear that it got lots of torque when pulling out of the corners.. nice!
It sounds fondly like my former Alfa 75ts. Approved!
It's as fun to drive as it looks, took delivery of one this week
That is really amazing lap time

What's wrong with Pirelli? PZeros are great tires!
Stickier the better.
uh... well maybe for racing only you're right
i dont think you understand the meaning of this car by asking another 100hp.. to the tyres, maybe get a decent driver b4 changing the pirellis, they already do the job quite good for that low weight-hp
You need to google Horst von Saurma...
It's a dual clutch. In this case, used in manual-mode
I've watched this twice now. I can't see the shift paddles and cannot detect any gear changes take place. Very strange......
Agreed, I do not see much going on with paddles, nor the snarl or throaty sound we hear for turbo lag. Odd indeed.

Driver's car!
Very much alive :)
Dead tie with the Cayman S driven by Walter Rohrl.
Impressive on both counts!
This is an exciting car. I would love to have one. My comment is lame, but it really has some excitement that is hard to explain in worlds.
Why isn't 6th gear used on the straight ??
I wish alfa did a GTA version with about 280-300HP and a more track focussed suspension and braking setup with even less weight authough i have no idea how they could manage that.
Put the guy that drove the Alfa Giulia Q...
Il cuore ha sempre ragione.

+Tony Meoli They'll all be collectible. Less than 3k have been sold globally, with production to halt mid summer 2016.

+Tony Meoli i remember you that this car stay's in the
Lost some time on entry and exit speeds .. 7's are fully possible in this car. Needs different tires too.
incredible 👌👌
Anyone know for up to what kind of power/torque the stock transmission/clutch are good for on this car?
350 NM
Cuore sportivo:)
this is the new world record
nice driver
Only 2 seconds slower than a dbs and close at Hockenheim. Great little car😙4c
Trop cool
Chip and go for the 7:30!
Is this automatic?
the gearbox is on the steering wheel
Bravo
Its done by option Auto...not Racing drivers
it is nearly as fast as a R8 (4,2l 420 PS) and a Cayman S (3,3L 303 PS)
Fine for a four cylinder with turbocharged
Nice
go alfa
You'd think Pirelli would spell nuburgring correctly
Nice :-D
The steering input looks very nervous. Either the front end is a pig or the driver needs to practice more.
Judging by the lap time, I'd say that both the driver and the front end are working just fine.
From what I read in the press, it is indeed a very nervous car with many journalists stating that it's very unpredictable on bumpy roads.
that driver had set lap times of a lot cars round the ring :/
Sure the drive needs some more practice...ahahaahhhh en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horst_von_Saurma

Only 27 seconds slower than the new z28 did on that track!
Damn, it's beautiful too!
Yeah, and the Z28 is only 29 sec slower than the GT-R on that track!
mystic1754 Who know's? With the right driver and can't put down GM on how they're making their cars handle so good. The GT-R was only 4 sec slower than the P1.

the 4c can do better
ferrari's little brother !!
Actually its the other way around Alfa came before Ferrari and Alfa helped Ferrari get setup
