I love these videos. And I love my C100 mk 1 not 2 . For a not very high spec camera it has so much life and soul in the pictures, (obviously lots of light and lighting equipment is always better) Now if you could do a similar thing with a compact sony camera ...or maybe I'll have a go.
@ginger_dog I've been shooting all sorts of things with my little Sony ZV1, live music especially. I love all the sLog picture profiles. Makes the punk gigs look a million bucks after grading in DaVinci.
Looking at your last setup, you said what you would do differently if you could go back I think what you're missing is the key needs to be flagged off of the wall so it only hits the subject, its angle of approach results in a pretty bad specular ping on the wall, I think what is illuminating the wall in the reference is actually coming from of the fill side, as you can see a shadow cast from the door frame Just my two cents Great video
good job! I am doing a RUclips Rewind 2024 (which is a video that compiles the most viral of the year) and I have an entire scene dedicated to Oppenheimer, for having won the Oscar award, can you allow me to use the first take for said scene? Leaving your name in the credits obviously, let me know ;)
Looking at your first setup replicating oppenheimer when you talk about getting the angle right, your image is very washed out Which leads me to think you may be crippling yourself It could be a result of light reflecting off the mattebox filter Or it could be a low quality square filter I saw your video on your matte box and how you have a piece of glass sandwiched in it, maybe its the glass? I had a similar issue with an older sony e mount lens adapter with a built in VND, i compared it to a high quality screw on filter and the VND had this horrible washed out look, the screw on filter looked infinitely better
For a better visual of what I'm saying I posted a video a loooong time ago showing the difference If you look up 'Vizelex ND vs B+W ND3.0 Test' Channel name JohnLeeReviews
Absolutely love that you do this. And I'm so glad no one was hurt in the creation. Such an amazing process. You did this "quite right." ❤
Shucks. Thanks so much Jessica.

Oh, you should totally have a go at this. It's an amazing learning experience and a ton of fun! Do it on either camera.

Great video
I think you are spot on. Thank you for that feedback.
The camera chip and resolution is not nearly as important as good lenses.
Sooooooo true. And lights.
Man is surgical with a C100MKII
8 bit what? Who?
Well done 👍🏾
Ha ha! Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
Incredible exercise. Thank you for sharing. And, the camera/light drop hurts every time I saw it. :-(
Doesn't it though? I'm just so thankful the only thing that broke was the battery. Wow!

Sure thing! Thanks for asking.
@@ginger_dog Thank you so much! Just in case you don't have the raw ones, can you send them to me by email?
@@Mattrix07 I'm out of state for Thanksgiving, so it won't be till early next week that I can get to this. Is that ok?
@ginger_dog Yes, no problem. Sorry for the inconvenience, when you are going to send it to me, send me here and I will write you my email :)
@@Mattrix07 I don't seem to have the original footage anymore, but you can copy/download the RUclips video and use that.
